being patronised by the Guardian isn’t that great a thing. Horrible newspaper. Can we just get over seeking validation from that country & it’s obnoxious media. We saw Katie against Sweden, she was IMO the best player on the pitch & was reported at home similarly. That’s all I need to know.

A real struggle so far v Slovakia. Wouldn't like to go behind to this lot as could be very difficult to get it back.

I get that they are a good passing side and well organised, but we should really be creating a bit more at home against them - they're not USA or Sweden or whatever.

Yep, it's been very turgid and one paced so far - we should have been much more on the front foot from kick off (we nearly look like the away team).

Can't believe how poor a team Ireland are...2nd best in every department on the pitch. Not at all comfortable on the ball....so disappointing as they had a great chance on getting 2nd place in this group... but not now.

Pretty basic stuff, as soon as we dropped the ridiculous mid block, we got on top pretty easily. I'd really wonder why on earth we persisted with it for the entire first half when it clearly wasn't working.

Will be extremely difficult to claim 2nd place after this. Lucky to get the draw. Dodgy goalkeeping almost cost us(again). A new keeper from Brighton was brought into this squad and must be tried out on Tuesday. O'Gorman and McCarthy looked completely out of depth tonight. The non use of subs must be questioned... maybe no real depth in the squad. Very disappointing all round

A very sloppy performance. Disjointed and numerous misplaced passes. Did Slovakia have more possession? It certainly looked that way.
