Based on what?
Their manager has given a very good impression of a man who doesn't know what he is doing and seems to be completely out of his depth. It is a pretty bad sign of a Rangers manager when he is liked by Celtic fans, or at least not hated. He hasn't seemed to 'get' the rivalry at all and being overly friendly with Rodgers at full-time and being complimentary to Scott Brown haven't helped in this regard!
He also seemed to come in at Rangers and think he could immediately play his own style against Celtic, without any realisation of the gap in quality. Graeme Murty, the only one of the three Rangers' managers to get a result against Celtic, realised the gap and set them up very well tactically to get a draw. Pedro came in and played three up top, and, or so it seemed at times, none in midfield. You really don't need to have all your coaching badges to see that Celtic are quite far ahead of them!
I thought he would be a good appointment for them, or at least he was a gamble they had to take. He was a 50/50 chance, something that the likes of McLeish wouldn't have been and it seems they had to roll the dice. Aside from a lucky 3-0 win in Aberdeen, they were played off the park, scored on the break with their first decent chance and got 2 more as Aberdeen chased it, they have been worse than before. Celebrating a last minute winner at Maryhill, in a game that meant f**k all, has been the source of much amusement. As was Aberdeen's wronging of that 3-0 loss by outplaying them at Ibrox.
He is, essentially, their Ronnie Deila; a likeable fella and a good coach who seems out of his depth in dealing with the expectations of the fans. Of course, he could prove me wrong next year and he is trying to get signings in early, but he is under huge pressure. I would be surprised if he doesn't show how he is a true 'ra Ranjurs man', by walking away mid-season.

Beaming Craig Whyte posed for picture with Celtic fans during fraud trial lunch break

The former Rangers owner appeared confident that justice would be served and even took time out from his court case to chat to Hoops supporters.

Bottom of Form

Craig Whyte has been cleared at the High Court in Glasgow of all charges relating to his takeover at Rangers.

Many fans of the Ibrox side held Whyte responsible for the dramatic financial collapse of their club.

However, defence counsel Donald Findlay persuaded the jury that Whyte was actually the "Fall Guy" at Rangers and others were responsible for running the club into the ground.

Whyte appeared confident that justice would be served during his trial and he even took time out to pose for pictures with Celtic fans during a lunch break.

The former Rangers owner strolled out of the High Court in Glasgow for something to eat at a nearby cafe last month and was asked if he minded stopping for a snap.

Whyte duly obliged outside popular clothes store Social Recluse.

Celtic supporter Mick Brady put his arm around the 46-year-old businessman and got a picture taken with him while holding a T-shirt in tribute to legendary Hoops playmaker Lubo Moravcik.

Brady was joined by fellow Celtic fan Farrell McGovern as the unlikely group chatted in the sun before Whyte had to return to his trial.

If Craig Whyte's case was anything more than a show trial he wouldn't have been the only one in the dock

Keith Jackson says the jury were not convinced because it was too hard to believe Whyte was intellectually capable of pulling the wool over David Murray’s eyes.

They seem to have made a good few signings so far this Summer. They must have a few quid in the transfer kitty so are rumors of their demise greatly exaggerated to paraphrase the boy Wilde?
