He did the last WC02 song with Christy Dignam(ahouse song i think)backed by FAI

Said today that he is looking to do another this year but with fans involved
If I was a leader here I would get on the case as it would be huge publicity for this site
Darcy is now king of late morning radio and could be a big national break through for YBIG if they got involved with it
Particularly as they FAI backed his last song,I'm sure they would recommend YBIG anyway
Could be a chance to raise cash for YBIG charities

That's my tuppence worth

Would sooner do it on Tom Dunnes show or someone who has an interest in Irish football.  Darcy can be regularly heard to go on about how he only goes to rugby games, doesnt bother with football.

Wolfe tones- you'll never beat the Irish ( the football version with lyrics upgraded)
That would be the job IMO

We could rip off the English and do a version of three lions but with the lyrics "A Shamrock on our shirt"

No way would I stand for an English song being adapted. Need something that says we're different, we're Irish.

We already have the 2 best football songs of all time, in Put Em Under Pressure and The Game

use the same template, use a moderatlely famous song from an irish artistt with a good hooky rift, and then re-word it.

Maybe something like,
'Heyday' by Mic Christopher,
'Revelate' by the Frames

(Non irish )- 'just a day by feeder -
