Cherry Orchard are suffering somewhat after the departure of Joey Somerville.
The Orchard went down 2-1 away to Bluebell with Ken Smith and Gerry Bambrick getting the goals for Bluebell. Orchard still top, but after a recent defeat against Dalkey in the Cup, they would want to get their act together.
The match of the day in Senior was undoubtedly Chris Barbour’s return to Tolka Rovers - a week after a multi million euro move to the MoneyMen. Barbour came out during the week and insisted that he did not leave Tolka for the money, it was because he needed a new challenge. We believe ya Chris.
Belgrove are through to the next round of the Charlie Cahill Cup after a fine 2-1 win over Greystones on Friday night, spearheaded by the skinny big eared Honey Monster!
Firhouse Clover, minus the services of the brilliant GerKeano through injury, recorded a fine 1-0 win away to high flying Dalkey United, thanks to a Damien Nolan goal.
Elsewhere in Senior 1, Terenure CYM began life under new manager Brian McGuinness with a 2-0 defeat against Glenmore Dundrum. Centre half for the snobs The Count said: “The ball just kept coming back at us. We didn’t play well and I was appalling.”
Other results that stand out is Waysie’s failure to beat 1A side Larkview, the pair drawing 1-1 in the intermediate cup.

Seem to know a lot for a lad that wasn't there Count.
Relegation battle?? We shall see.
Fact is: CYM reckon they have had a decent start. Firhouse have had a sh*t start BUT, if we win our game in hand we are a point behind CYM.

Don't get to excited, your still an inter beginner!
A kick of a ball seperates second from second last at the moment
It will be a long long season
