Train for getting to and from Porto for the airport

I went here for a few days after the Portgual away game in Faro,

  

There is but then factor in stadium in the middle of nowhere outside of town.

Easier just to stay local for us anyway when in Monday out Wednesday, no mad rush to try make it back for a train

Would only not stay the night of the match in the city if I was getting a very early flight the next morning and it wasn't worth your while to pay for another night in the hotel for the sake of a couple of hours in bed. 

Fuk it might go to Germany anyway 

There is a direct Ryanair flight out of BFS to Porto Sat to Wed. Currently at £160 was £75 at first look once it was announced. 

I try to avoid Ryanair at all costs, and have managed to do so up to now. Wouldn't piss on O'Leary if he was on fire.

Flight to Porto on the 10th land at 9am flight back morning after the game at 10:50am

Is it worth staying in Porto or Averio on the day of the game would you say? Seems like there’s a decent little square in Averio with a few spots👍🏻

Just wondering how you are getting to the airport.

There's a Flixbus direct from Aveiro to the airport, might be the handiest route

Plenty of trains via Porto so will go with that. 

Kickoff confirmed for 7:45pm on June 11th. Interestingly, looks like home tickets have sold out.

Confirmed for Tuesday 11th at 19.45 as stated above.  Note we are on the same time as Portugal.

I wouldn't be so confident that tickets will be easily available.  It is their last home game before the Euros.  

Any idea when our own applications will be opening?

Just glad it's not in the Algarve again. Absolutely sick of that poxy stadium that is utterly devoid of any character. 

If it was in Faro again we'd have brought more to it I'd say.

direct flights to porto out and back are over €600 now

£260 out of Belfast. wouldnt be surprised if they came down

if it is ticket collection will it be on the day or before do you know. if we drive from spain will only arrive on the day of the match

Most I know are in Averio day before the game.

Like above anyone else who's in porto or anywhere else seems to be making a few more days of it 

Probably will spend most of the Monday in Porto as we fly in Sunday night, and then onto Aveiro in the evening 

Those train tickets are available now with promo prices if you get them early

There’s some handy trains running to Lisbon just after 2am that’ll save on an overnight stay on the way back.

Well, if it's a ticket pick up over there (No mention yet if that might be the case) then there won't be many harvesting!

All who applied in time will be allocated tickets for Portugal away.  Invoices should be out in the next seven days.  We will have over 800 fans travelling to Aveiro.

Looking at Omio and it's throwing errors. And  https://www.cp.pt/passageiros/en/buy-tickets" rel="nofollow - https://www.cp.pt/passageiros/en/buy-tickets has a tight change which I would like to avoid.

I'd assume there is direct trains from San Bento to Aviero.

Used the CP site to book tickets from Lisbon and it was fine.

Thought the train from Porto was a straight train though

Train from Porto is straight forward. Omio just seems to be giving you the fastest option and discounting the local urban train

You only need to book the intercity trains that take about 40 minutes or so.

The local train takes just over an hour and goes every hour from Campanha . No need to buy a ticket for it in advance, €3.80 on the day. Not every train goes through to San Bento, some are just to/from Campanha to Averio but the local urban train most of them run through to San Bento.

Campanha is probably the easier of the 2 if coming from the airport as it's on the airport metro line

You can get the urban train straight to Aveiro from San Bento

No need for a pre booked ticket, just over an hour. Seems to leave at 5 minutes to the hour according to the train times on the Portuguese railway website 

Check the times section on the home page and not the buy ticket option as this only gives you the intercity trains.

Tbh I think most will just book their summer holidays around this.

23.59, that's good to know. I'd say there will be a few heading back, it's only an hour away, dead handy. Will head to Aveiro early enough and get the whole day out of it.

Don't see any options direct to the airport - I've a 1pm flight.

Yeah nothing direct to the airport from what I can see.

Train back to Campanha and metro to the airport from there looks to be the easiest

Few of us doing this. Land Sun staying in Porto 3 nights. Was tempted to stay in Aveiro the third night but saves the hassle of checking out/in on matchday.
