A very bizarre set of quotes from him about green and black tracksuits.

Hope the opposition dressing room doesn't get smeared in faeces. As happened when Brighton played Crystal Palace in a play off match.

Yep would be happy with Gus onboard just a pity we had to put up with Kenny for so long .

Not sure if there's a thread for next manager discussion but I would be delighted with poyet, he would be a brilliant appointment imo. The interest he's showing in us is great, I thought we'd be going out begging for a new manager.

I don't want carsely, he hasn't done it in senior management yet so he would be a very risky appointment. It hasn't worked out with Kenny obviously and he would be a very similar appointment

Here we go again

There is absolutely nothing similar between Carsley and Kenny. And Poyet, in terms of his public persona is a a bit of a fool. Maybe he is a good coach, I don't know. He was not great at Sunderland.

I'm not so sure he would be a great replacement. His competitive wins have come against teams all well lower ranked: Cyprus(103), Kosovo(109), The North, Gibraltar and us twice. He has also drew friendlies with Malta & Lithuania, been beaten by Montenegro and in NL games by Cyprus.

He may be a better coach than Kenny, but you can be guaranteed if he had these results with us, there would be quite a few on here calling for his sacking. Wink

His time at Sunderland was horrendous, he ended up just falling out with everyone. I suspect he knows Greece aren't offering him a new contract and he's looking for what he sees as a handy pay day.

It was hardly horrendous got Sunderland to a league cup final and kept us up

It was the heavy defeat at Southampton that feckin him.

Bradley should get a deserved crack in League 1(or Scotland)  sooner rather than later I think

NO LOI managers no matter what their record is.. Different league at international level. Poyet would be a good choice, again he has no baggage with most things Irish.. Defo don't want any English Managers or coaches. think outside the box, and look at the big picture..

Picking the best man available for the role, regardless of their nationality, should and always will be looking at the bigger picture. If Poyet had the results he had with Greece, a large proportion of fans would want rid of him. If he was carrying on the way he is now with Greece by clearly scouting for new roles while is still their manager, most would want rid also.

Sounds great, but with the new regime we have and lack of finances, don't be surprised if Carsley or an Ingerland reject gets the post.

Michael O'Neill 2011 / 2020 over the North was their best time in a generation. Was nothing special in Scotland and did well in LOI

Does that ring any bells  ?

Kenny failed. Kenny ....  not the league.

Poyet out in the Greek media tonight saying his assistant hasn't been paid in 8 months.

It really wouldn't surprise me if there's a bit more noise around him being linked with the Irish job after this window
