Made his second start for Oxford yesterday in League 1 and seems to have done very well judging by the comments/ratings on their supporters forum. Yet another Irish centre back to add to the stockpile.

Born in 2002 so eligible for our Under 21s this campaign, may well come into contention if he can hold down a first team place at Oxford.

Thanks - Transfermarkt lists him as being born in Floresti, Moldova so I went with that. But obviously not then. I have updated the first post now.

Yeah even states it on his wiki that most places online have him as being born in Moldova.

Sounds like he's going to get a run of first team games now.

He looked a serious prospect with Shels last year and I wasn't surprised to see him snapped up. Looked very composed for such a young player last season and was a regular in our last few games (including a start in the FAI Cup Final).

Hope he does well Clap

Yeah he was so composed for Shels the back end of last season, especially for someone so young. Very impressive. Hopefully he can get a run of games this season and push on.

Mark McCadden reporting that Brighton have identified Negru as an option if they fail to sign Cashin.

Made team of the week this weekend, along with Cashin, and Oxford have won the three games which he's started in. They won 3-1 away to Barnsley at the weekend.
