I think he should play the same team for both, give them a chance to gel against Latvia

5-3-2
Captain - Coleman

GK - Bazunu
CB - Coleman, Collins, Egan
RWB - Doherty
LWB - O'Dowda
CM - Cullen, Molumby, Smallbone
FW - Ogbene, Ferguson

He has already said he won't do that and while I quite like ur team (asides from Coleman at cb and o'dowda at lwb), don't see it happening!

Yeah, I do think Kenny is making a mistake, not playing the same team for both. I think it would help a lot against France to have some continuity.

I think Ogbene should play with Ferguson. Ogbene is a really good presser, and with his pace he can be useful for counter attacking moments. I can imagine John Egan spraying some nice long passes for Ogbene to run into space.

If not Ogbene, I would play Jason Knight as a 10, who is also a good presser.

I'm a big fan of Omobamidele too, definitely a future Premier League player. I think he will very soon be taking starting place vacated by Coleman.

What if Ferguson and Cullen get injured against Latvia?

Cullen has nothing to prove and it's an opportunity to see others play. Doherty should play some of the game as he has not played much football and there is enough time to recover.

I like Dara O'Shea, but I don't see him as Prem standard unfortunately.

Definitely premier league standard, didn't look out of place when he played there, even in a struggling team, and he's a much more rounded player now. There's a general shortage of high level centre backs so it's only a matter of time for him.

Yeah between himself, Collins and Omobamidele he looked the most comfortable of them all in their limited time playing there. Definitely has the makings of a solid PL defender.

I'd also say he's possibly been the best of our CBs in a green shirt over the last year or so. He's also the most comfortable playing on the LHS of a 3. No way he's losing his spot any time soon. I liked the look of Omobamidele when he first broke on the scene, but he's had a few setbacks since and has plenty to prove now if he wants to break in to the first XI.

Nope and he constantly uses capitals for his threads which are an eye sore.

Sort it out Mods.

cullen shouldnt touch the grass against latvia. 3500 mins played already this season with burnley, doesnt need a pointless 60 mins or whatever against them. we need to see what the alternatives are in that position anyway.

As the thread titles suggest, one was to discuss the squad announcement for the 2 games, this one is to discuss the starting elevens for both games post squad announcement. If mods want to merge, fine!

If the capital letters hurt your eyes, you should probably lay off the PORNHUB!

Why the use of capitals though? You don’t post in capitals so wondering why you feel the need to do it for the thread title? It looks terrible.

Fair enough re Cullen, personally I'd be starting Ferguson against Latvia. Not playing players as they might get injured is bollix. He needs as much time on the pitch as possible to adjust
