Not that I know of. The wife had it a few weeks ago and somehow managed to not pick it up off her despite living in a small apartment. I had a problem with my voice in 2020 that the specialist put down to some sort of virus but I never felt sick at any time

yes, had it in July. First few days had a high temperature then lost my taste and smell. Taste and smell came back after a few days. Had only 1 vaccine jab at the time.

Not that I know of. Have had multiple close calls with being close contacts and have been abroad 4 times in the last 4 months to countries with lower restrictions. Baffled I haven't got it in all honesty.

Maybe I have some natural immunity, I don't know. I could be the saviour of humanity given proper testing.

Not that I know of. Since August 2020, have been tested most weeks for work so even if I was asymptomatic I'd assume it would have showed up.

My three kids had it, neither myself or the wife caught it despite them being on top of us for the two weeks.   Both of us were vaccinated, none of the kids were.     Have heard the opposite though whereby two vaccinated parents caught it and the kids didn't.    Seems to be pot luck

A pal of mine caught it in the last week, he'd just been in Chicago for three weeks going to baseball, wresting and stage shows and bleets "I don't know how I caught it" Ermm He was never the brightest bulb in the box ....

An aunt of mine has had two asymptomatic cases.

My Dad works as a hospital porter. Incredibly, he's not caught it (touches wood). If you have any friends, family or neighbours who are hospital porters, get them something nice for Christmas, their hard work often gets overlooked. Thumbs Up

Never had it myself.

Would all depend on how severe your symptoms are.

Few pals of mine treated it as a week off from both work and the kids as they were fine. Holed up in the spare room, food deliveries, netflix, pullin stomach off themselves, sport, betting.

This was the omicron variant too.

Still havent caught it myself despite being surrounded by people with it. Would like to see the above poll done for present day.

Had it a few weeks back, symptomatic Sunday to Sunday, the first 2/3 days were the worst (but by no means serious) after that it was just tiredness and coughing then till the following Sunday. So literally 7 days, no after affects & no one else in the house got it.

The boredom is the biggest challenge. Trying to stay in your room for 10 days or whatever it is is a killer.

I struggled with it, after day 3 - just blanked it.

Me and the young fella got it two weeks ago. Didn't go out of the house much but we weren't exactly isolating in a room. Just lived normally and my wife never got it.
Her mum also minded our son one day all day as we had no other options and had to go somewhere and her Mum didn't get it.

I was in a house with 17 others from 1pm to 11pm on 2 consecutive days and no one got it. (Christmas day and Stephens Day)

A neighbour of mine was positive (he didn't know he had COVID) and had all his family around and every person that was in his house got it.

Bad for two days as said above, I had fever and a cough but these cleared up, had night sweats too for around 4 days, wake up in the middle of the night and the sheets would be soaked. Paracetamol doesn't do much so just plenty of water and vitamin c.

I tested positive last week, very mild, wouldn't even have known I had it only the Mrs asked me to do an antigen test. I tested positive on the PCR also, but she's been negative the whole time. Pretty much 5 months to the date of my last positive. I picked up in the pub more than likely and would likely have continued as normal had I not done the antigen.

My wife had it twice. Both times I never caught it off her, despite not isolating at all.

I then assumed I was invincible and couldn't catch it. That was until I got tested at a polish airport.

http://www.thenationalnews.com/coronavirus/2022/01/05/dubai-residents-count-the-cost-of-being-stuck-abroad-due-to-travel-restrictions/" rel="nofollow - http://www.thenationalnews.com/coronavirus/2022/01/05/dubai-residents-count-the-cost-of-being-stuck-abroad-due-to-travel-restrictions/

I also think I had it a couple of weeks ago again but never tested. My wife had it for the third time at the same time.

Had it for the 2nd time back in August after catching it for the first time back in July 2021 before I had the vaccine. Was far milder this time around and I was over it in less than a week.

I honestly think the sooner they stop testing now and accept that this is a part of life the better. People aren't getting as sick now that most are vaccinated. My 88 year old vaccinated grandmother caught it a few months ago, and was fine bar the usual cold symptoms

I’m now of the mind that lots of people who think they never have had it, have just never tested positive for it. If there has been a drop off in the frequency of testing I think there is a chance that people have had it without getting the positive test, or in asymptomatic cases have simply never known.

Got a weird burning sensation in one of my lower legs, was going on for week so asked a friend of mine he's a consultant in Limerick hospital, apparently its a new symptom of covid he said it will clear in a week or two, its now gone. Looks like i had it again but that was the only symptom, no cold, no fever nothing and nothing showed up on antigen test. Weird!

Two kids caught it, they're over it, the missus now has it and i still dont have it. This is despite carrying on life as normal in the house Ermm
perhaps you were the first to get it and it was out of you by then time you started testing?

Perhaps. But again, if this was the case, I wasn’t aware I had it. Regular enough occurrence I know.

All 4 of us in the house had a virus the last 8 days, no positive antigens and far worse than when I Covid at the start of the year. Nasty dose whatever it was Dead

Dodged it for 3 years (AFAIK), dodged it when the entire house had it a few weeks ago, positive last night. It’s a bit of a ****. Body aches and headache.

That’s how I see it. Should be good to go by Friday as that’s when the symptoms hit.

When I got covid, I realized it when I went into the bathroom and didn't smell my wife's shampoo. At all. It was a very strange feeling, now my sense of smell has recovered

My mother has caught it for the first time. Luckily these variants are fairly tame.

Finally got me on Wednesday! Had a small headache yesterday but feel grand now. Will just keep doing antigens.

I tested positive today.  Felt 90% fine but a slight sneeze now and again and a very slight dose of sniffles.  I feel fine and wouldn't know I had it unless testing really.  Only reason I tested is a few people I know had coughs and were complaining of feeling sh*t.

Was half thinking of getting my 2nd booster before today but since I have covid for the 2nd time not sure if its worth it considering the symptoms are so mild (so far).

Probably will end up getting the booster next month I suppose just to be on the safe side.

Pretty sure you are to not have a booster for 6 months after testing positive.

Yeah?  That's that sorted so.

Had Covid back in July.  Was different symptoms.  Had a headache and fatigue back then.  This is more of a sniffles.

Took me the best part of 3 weeks to shake the after effects of it. Nothing major but was getting quite bad fatigue spells at 5/6pm every day over christmas.

Have it for the second time now, pretty much exactly one year since I last had it.
Was more fever and blocked nose the past two days but now the cough is starting. Last time that was the worst part as it was sore after awhile and lasted a couple weeks

Are most people still testing now? I probably would if I had fever symptoms but haven't bothered anytime I have had sniffles or a cold

I felt a sore throat and ear coming on on Tuesday afternoon and sore back, legs and joints.
Been in bed ever since, unable to eat and very painful when swallowing, can hardly open my mouth or talk now

Got antibiotics from the doctor

I don’t think it’s Covid, haven’t done a test mind you, but anyone experienced this before

That's a symtom of the flu isn't it? Sore swallowing is a normal symptom?

Surprised you were allowed to see the DR without a negative test.

I currently have the exact same symptoms! On antibiotics too.

Didn’t even think about Covid until the missus brought it up, done a test out of curiosity and it came back negative.
