Cluj just getting the better of Lincoln Red Imps in Gibraltar. Be interesting to see if Midtjlland can be competitive against Celtic they don't seem to be as strong as they were last season then again who knows with Celtic.

FC Sheriff with a 3-0 win over Dynamo Zagreb tonight keeps them on course to be the first "Moldovan" outfit to qualify for the CL group stages.  Interesting to say the least.

Difficult enough draws for the English teams.

Chelsea probably have the easiest draw.

The referee blowing for half-time when AC Milan were in the middle of an attack reminds me of how much time after time the ref added on in our game against Portugal.

In fairness, there was a 25 minute spell where Milan couldn't get out of their half and kept giving the ball back to Liverpool repeatedly.

Bizarre scoreline but Liverpool will still probably win it.

Bizarre by Milan for the Henderson goal. 6 players swarming towards the ball to clear it, leaving Henderson completely unmarked with the goal at his mercy.

Sums them up.

Good player obviously but think people go OTT about him at times in certain games. Think he was getting over praised in games in the euros when he was nothing special in those particular matches

On a similar note, following the back end to last season that he had and euros campaign, do you still think Kyle Walker is brutal?

I'd say the fitter lads at top end of walking football have better stats then Messi, he is one lazy f**k. He should be able to playing well until his 40s all the same which would be great to see.

Please never mention Marco Verratti in the same sentence as Kyle Walker again please.

7/10 performance LOL

Crazy a team with a front 3 of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe were near 2/1 with the bookies to win at home to a side with Sterling and Grealish up top.

I see you didn't answer the question there.

I've actually just googled player ratings from last night and every single one of them (first 6 i checked) gives Veratti 7/10

City played ok last night, dominated possession for large periods but couldn't score, missed some bad chances. The league games either side of the PSG one are bigger matches this week, happy enough with the performance, should get through the group.

Ok I’ll give you my opinion on Kyle Walker he is a very limited player who offers absolutely nothing going forward, his recovery pace is impressive I’ll give him that! He doesn’t get caught in no mans land as much as he use to due to the fact Pep has coached him brilliantly and he doesn’t get forward enough to get caught out! he doesn’t need to go forward as Cancelo more than makes up for it on the other flank, he’s not a great modern day full back due to his limitations attacking wise similar to Wan-Bissaka at United who is really poor going forward but still contributes more to the attacking front than Kyle Walker.

In conclusion Walker is an average full back with great pace who has been coached brilliantly by the best manager in the World.

Yea I get that! It’s brilliant coaching from Pep! Wan-Bissaka would look good in City’s side.

Kyle Walker is an excellent player, who has obviously improved since he's been playing under Pep.

But it is a fallacy to put it ALL down to PG's coaching. Considering he had just turned 27 when he signed for City, you might have expected Walker to be approaching his best years regardless of where he was playing.

Meanwhile, any Spurs fan will tell you he had been consistently excellent under Pochettino at Spurs, playing 163 PL games and winning nearly half of his 63 England caps.

Which was reflected in the £50m City ended up paying for him - a huge fee for a RB back then.

There isn't a team in the PL who wouldn't want KW available to them - at least the 27 y.o. version.

As for Bissaka, he certainly looks a prospect, no doubt about that, but he's still a long way short of the player KW is. And while he might well turn out to be his equal given time, spending £50m on him when he was still only 21 was quite a gamble by Man U.

Then again, he's not the only massive punt they've signed in recent years Wink

Very few games had anything to play for last night and tonight is only a little bit better

Maybe Bayern thrashing Barcelona would be worth watching, I think Atalanta v Villareal has the best potential.

And for novelty factors Lille and Sazburg to get to the knockouts would be good for them.

But, then again, English teams get the easiest possible draws every year so I'm not claiming to be Nostradamus.

They made a complete balls of that draw. United pulled out to face Villarreal but their ball shouldn’t have been in the pot.

Then they excluded United’s ball from Atlético Madrid’s draw even though that would have been a valid tie.

They should do the draw again. A complete shambles.

sensational performance tonight from Mbappe. Easily the best in the world at the minute for me, seems to save them time and time again. The lack of interest from Messi is the only thing that may hold them back later in the tourney, so noticeable that he does not want to be there

Do we think the no away goal rule is working?
I think its really impacting first legs in particular.

Real were playing for 0-0 so didn't make it a great viewing. The benefit of getting an away goal combined with the fear of giving one away in the return leg I think would have given the away side in first leg more ambition to try get an away goal and opened it up a bit.

I just think PSG are a much better side and didn’t give Madrid a minute! I would have them as favourites along with Man City to win it! Bayern need to get Goretzka, Davies and Neuer back fit if they are to have a chance! Midfield is really missing Goretzka and Musiala to a lesser extent.

Real were playing for 0-0 so didn't make it a great viewing. The benefit of getting an away goal combined with the fear of giving one away in the return leg I think would have given the away side in first leg more ambition to try get an away goal and opened it up a bit.

Definitely going to have an impact on how teams play away from home as an away goal was always a golden nugget in the knockout stages. It could make for more upsets along the way if a small club can snatch a 0-0 in the first leg away from home, knowing they will have a raucous stadium for the return leg. You would have to think Madrid would have been favourites to go through to the QF’s only for Mbappe’s late late show

I’d fear Liverpool most of the teams left for City

I think its really impacting first legs in particular.

There’s only been two first legs with no away goals. One of them the away team scored 5.

Liverpool's bench arguably stronger than Inter Milan's starting lineup.

Inter v Liverpool is intriguing. Loads of unforced errors for both sides. Slack passing, questionable positioning. IDK how it's still goalless. Calhanoglu very unlucky with his effort.

Hopefully the tempo stays like this.

You’d expect Inter would need a two goal lead at least to take to Anfield to stand a chance

Thank God for Coleman's sake that Everton didn't sign Dumfries. He's been excellent.

Liverpool getting played off the park here so far, inter should be 2 or 3 up

You feel like Inter have to take advantage of this spell.

Nothing in reserve, though, whereas Liverpool can select pretty much another first team from the bench.

Toothless up front. They've been fantastic everywhere else but hard to see them outscoring Liverpool over two legs.

That’s the danger against a top side. Don’t take your chances and now they’ve a mountain to climb. Can’t see Inter scoring 1 at anfield on the basis of tonight, never mind 2

Bayern were really poor, the new formation doesn’t really work! Sule starting ahead of Upamecano another strange one, they are lucky they got a handy draw.

I didn’t watch this so excuse the ignorance but looking at the starting XI, it looked like he picked one centre half, two full backs, two midfielders, three wingers, an attacking midfielder and a centre forward. How does that work?!

Was a bit of a mess! Had Lucas Hermandez and Pavard playing as centre backs alongside Sule, both capable of playing there as seen before but not ideal with Sule as the main CB as he has been poor for some time now, and then Coman and Gnabry as the wide players who certainly aren’t suited to wing back roles and it was shown, this also dragged Kimmich out of the centre to cover the full back role and also Muller is best suited as the main number 10 he played deeper at times with Sane as the main 10 supporting Lewandowkski! Nagelsmann has tried this a few times this season and it’s been a disaster! He’s trying to fit too many attackers into the one line up.
