Anyone ever wake up early feeling fresh, but as it is too early, you go back asleep until it is actually the time you need to get up, and by that stage, you are absolutely shattered?

All the time. Awake @5 today & felt great, awake @6 for work & still haven’t woken up properly

Was fine at 7am but here I am at my desk with a sausage & egg McMuffin in front of me and still yawning.

Wife read some sleep book and it said if you fully wake up you are better off jumping up and starting your day, going back to sleep after being fully awake is not really what we are programmed for.

Yeah. The whole pull the curtains and let the light in etc. 

But regarding the programming, I remember reading something that we should be asleep by 9/10 and up at 5. Hunter/Gatherer pre programming
