In fairness, that's not so much a forgetting as it is that he was a complete unknown until long after he left united. On that subject, when Parrott was the 'first irish player to line out for top 6 club in X years' i had completely forgotten that the previous holder of that moniker was Robbie Brady turning out for United in the league cup

In the year he was injured after signing for Man United he learned to play the saxophone, and I remember reading he invented his own percussion instrument. I always felt at a time when Alex Ferguson made no mistakes, selling Dublin to Coventry, even for a good profit was a bad idea, especially with the foreign rule restriction still in place.
