Great to see a good crowd (33,000) at the Uerdingen-Dortmund game in Düsseldorf. Saw Uerdingen at Koln in the Bundesliga the 1st season (‘95/‘96) after Bayer withdrew sponsorship and it was sad to watch Uerdingen’s fall over the following 20 years.

They splashed a lot of cash last year to get out of 3BL.
I think they were top during winter break.
Bought Grimaldi from us.
Arse then fell out of their season.. ..

You also have Wiesbaden and Darmstadt in 2. Bundesliga and Mannheim in 3. Liga.

They're all within an hour of Frankfurt.

Oktoberfestzeit.. 1860 host our mates Lautern on Saturday
Lautern mate over for long weekend.
Wiesn tomorrow. Game Saturday.
🥨🍻🥨

many years back I went with him to the away end when 60 played Lautern in the Olympic Stadium here. I got a bit of grief when 60 scored twice. Was told to stop celebrating.produced hip flask. Sorted.
After the game Lautern fans called the team over as is normal in the Bundesliga... they pelted the team with snow balls

It is mad open. Ingolstadt are sh*te, Magdeburg are poor (but I fancy them somehow) Unterhaching cant seriously keep it up?? Halle look good. Duisburg also look good. I doubt we'll be in the mix. And there's always a surprise. Your prediction?

Our only chance is VW. Embarrassing, but true. They financed our shopping last January to save us (so I hear) apparently the niedersächsische Landtag had plans to stop us from going down as thousands of Eintracht Fans in villages and the police costs were seen as an awful idea

Nothing wrong with it IMO, they could hardly build an actual wall. Its was ceremonial and nothing more. Best part though was the Trabant powering through the net part of the wall

Do you need a wall to remember a wall? If that’s the best they could come up with then they should have left it off.

They obviously felt they did and did it their way ..more power to them. Maybe I may have done it differently but not having lived in Berlin or Germany at the time, I bow to their superiority on such matters.

Judging by those holding the wall up, they didn’t live in Berlin at the time either!
I just don’t think that going to the effort of making a styrofoam wall and pushing it over does much to commemorate the occasion, especially as German football fans are normally excellent at such things.

Are bad re-enactments necessary in any celebration or commemoration? I would have thought that most people, particularly in Berlin, know what a wall coming down looks like.

Most are already at capacity in 1BL esp BvB, Bayern etc so not sure if there would be a dramatic jump.
Here is the table to date this season for 1BL, Capacity, Total, Average. Haven't found anything which shows omparison with other years.
if you remove Hertha as they have an enormous stadium, only really Wolsburg Mainz and Düsseldorf seem to have spare capacity

Bit more space in the 2BL and 3BL except for Pauli & 1860 München.

2BL.

B

Sorry . Missed this. I'm hoping for the Friday night or Saturday as flying home Sunday morning.
Not sure when the fixtures are "fixed". (Currently fixtures upto 4th April are confirmed)
Both Bayern & Bayern II are away that same weekend.
Though it is a S-bahn derby it is not a high risk game unlike the Red B'tards or some of the Osi teams.

Not sure there will be spare home tickets but there are nearly always a few tickets floating around outside.

What are your plans ?

Fun n games at Bayern game in Hoffenheim.
Dortmund fans banned for 2 years after similar protests
Seems like Bayern fans solitary did go down well.
Incredible that the DFB would stop a game over such stuff
while not for racism.
Expect the protests to increase

The Union Berlin v Wolfsburg game has also now been halted because of offensive banners about Dietmar Hoff being displayed. The 2nd half of the FC Cologne v Shalke game yesterday was delayed because of it while Borussia Dortmund fans were being warned over the PA system to stop chanting offensive songs about him.

Clearly seems to be an organised campaign going on in Germany to protest about Hoff this weekend.

Relegation place 17th is only 8 points behind us

Looks like your are out of luck for the Düsseldorf & Köln matches. No report yet on the 2BL match you have on your list. The decision is being made on a regional level hence Union vs Bayern on Saturday night is (currently) going ahead with fans.
http://www.kicker.de/771873/artikel/im_ueberblick_geisterspiele_durch_das_coronavirus" rel="nofollow - http://www.kicker.de/771873/artikel/im_ueberblick_geisterspiele_durch_das_coronavirus

Here in Bavaria, all "gatherings" of more than 1K have been restricted until after Easter. (25th Paddy's Day Parade in Munich on Sunday cancelled).
It means that 1BL and 2BL games will be played without fans.
1BL are Bayern and Augsburg
2BL Nürnberg, Fürth, Regensburg,
3BL Unterhaching, Ingolstadt, 1860 & Würzburg.

There has been no decision yet about the 3BL games - to proceed with no fans or to postpone until later. The issue is that the 3BL clubs are more reliant on gate money than in 1BL and 2BL. Empty stadia could have severe financial implications for the clubs for lose of revenue and ticket refunds. Another consideration is that as the decision is on regional level, some clubs may not have to play without fans. Clubs want the same solution for all.

For 1860 ticket sales have been suspended for all future Home and Away games. No fans allowed at any Home club games at any level. There will be a decision today I think about the game on Saturday vs table topping Duisburg. The club will have budgeted for a sold out 15K stadium.
Also there are a set of midweek games next week which also have to be resolved.

Anyone watch it on the Fox Sports stream? That co-commentator was awful annoying.

Eintracht Frankfurt are doing very poor in the league. They looked good in the Europa League. Played decent football in the group stage.

Lookman and Paulson didn't do you any favours.
VAR got involved with a shoulder offside in the final few minutes so Red Bollox drink were lucky to get a point.

Schalke were wide open against BvB.
Düsseldorf were all over Paderborn but should AVE lost in the last minutes.
Hertha took Hoffenheim apart in the 2nd half
Wolfsburg won late at Augsburg whose trainer missed the game as he broke quarantine to go buy shampoo or hand cream. Idiot.
Gladbach looking good Vs Eintracht

Red B'tards will be happy enough with the results except the Dortmund one.

Second week in a row I’ve watched Hertha and they look very good. I went to see them play Mainz last season and they looked awful. New manager seems to be doing a great job.

Cunha is a quality player.

sh*t or bust time for Dortmund tonight.
Bayern have had their measure the last few seasons and inflicted some painful defeats on them.

Gone with BVB & BTTS at 9/2 as my watching interest.

Nicely taken goal.
Pretty much a stroll in the 2nd half.
Block by defender look like it could have gone to Var considering what they judge offside decisions on.
They can stop the Bundesliga now.
Maybe 4th CL position and relegation playoff left open

Schalke have only won once this year. Would imagine that Wagner doesn't have long left. Worse record in the 2nd half of the season.

They should have enough points in the bank to keep them out of the relegation battle.

Hertha love empty stadia

Bayern march on.
