Forget the 2 world cups. They have only ever won 1 European trophy in club football. They are consistently poor in Europe. Scotland has more European trophies as does many other small countries. French football has been a hell of a lot more successful than Scottish football. French players would travel more than most other nations in Europe. |

So was I, both have won 1 European Cup but French teams have been runners up 5 times, French teams have been runners up in Europa/Uefa Cup 5 times compared to Scotlands 3. The only club competition Scotland has done better in is the now defunct Cup winners Cup with 2 winners to 1 from France. France is currently 5th in uefa club league rankings compared to Scotlands 20th. French teams have made it to at least the last 16 of the champions league for the last 5 years compared to Scotlands 0 So if French football is muck then God help Scotland |

I didn't say anything about attendances I was talking about French players in other leagues. Afaik French players make up a high percentage of foreign players in leagues outside of France
