BBC 4 is worth watching nearly every Friday night. This should be no different.

Greed has won, big finance has won. Whatever small role elite clubs still play in the local communities from which they grew is dwarfed now by their position as global brands.

Why would I care, Baldy?

I felt it was a bit cruel to put U2 up against a proper live act though.

There's some good programmes with an Irish theme on BBC 6 Music, available through the BBC Sounds app. Cillian Murphy can't do a convincing Brummie accent, but he can put together a decent playlist. Tom Robinson's show is decent now too.
