Not really. There's always a surprise or two though. Could see Gurney going far, maybe Semi finals.

Not if they stand side by side...

Heading along next to next Tuesday sessions with Daboi and another mate. Lennon in action

Can see Van Den Bergh going far in the tournament. Don't know if he can make the final but can see him making a semi final spot at least.
Think Peter Wright is after getting a cracking draw. Can see him making another final. Whether he can get the better of MVG is another story.

If they were placing to 4 places I'd be backing Van Der Bergh and Wright ew. Placing to 2 however puts me off. Have done a few side bets that will hopefully click.

I saw an interview with him a couple of days ago and he changed his darts at the beginning of the year. Probably get some sponsorship deal after winning the PDC World last year. He's gone back to his original darts now and he says he's hitting form at the right time.

Barney reduced to rubble.

73 average for his opponent in the final set and he still won it 3-0 in legs.

But that's the pdc for you.

It's no harm the PDC has moved on beyond Taylor and RVB, they had their time.

Plenty of good young players coming through now and it's always nice to see a fair spread of winners.

When you actually look at the amount of trophies/titles Taylor and RVB won between them is staggering.

There should be no room for sentiment, he's finished at the top level imo.

Still a last chance for him to play in the Premier League before he retires is probably nailed on.

Gutted for Dolan but Aspinall played superbly, never let him off the hook, hitting at least one treble on what must have been 90% of his visits and his finishing was exceptional. Great performance.

MVG really needs to start winning more of these.
He has been the best players for about 5/6 years now and has only won 2.

At 29 he is still only a baby in darts but he should be winning whilst he is No1

He also looks like an oversized one!

I still find it really hard to watch because of the crowd. I love watching darts, but the World Championships and some of the Premier League are unbearable because of the idiots.

MVG beat Smith in a final earlier this year with an average of 112!!

Michael van Gerwen produced one of the greatest performances ever seen to win his fourth Premier League Darts title as he thrashed first-time finalist Michael Smith 11-4 thanks to a blistering average of 112.37.

It's the second highest ever in a televised final - just below the 112.49 he managed in the 2015 Masters - but at one point his own televised world record of 123.40 was at risk.

If Smith continues to miss doubles he could get battered here.
He is doing better than Andersen but needs to take his chances.

Poor quality final. Smith can’t hit a double.

Don’t get why BDO would leave terrestrial TV.

It’s always catered to the more casual audience and doesn’t matter if Quest is a freeview channel because it’s lost 4OD catch up.

Mad stuff.

Even Sid seems to have given up on the pub darts this year

None of his usual sh*te on averages or wire sizes

That’s kinda what happens when you go from terrestrial TV to obsolete TV channels. I have no idea what they were thinking with this but I didn’t know it was on til I read on here so even Social media doesn’t pay attention to it

Is it not the case that no proper TV channels would pay for it anymore, it had declined so badly

standard not as good obviously but it's been a far more exciting competition than the PDC this year

Waites into the final with an average of 85 and hammered your man 6-1 LOL

I’ve watched a few matches here and there, standard is quite poor but the crowds so much more respectful.

Durrant should win handy enough later

Underbucner was very good up to the semi final and then didn't show up at all

Durrant secured his tour card today after a nervy week at Q School. On his day, he could be top 10-15 in the PDC. Interesting to see how he gets on
