I don't agree with THAT, in the workplace!

Kept his place last night and it seems he played well again. Only in the team due to injuries to others for now but hopefully he is making enough of an impact to get some more game time as the season goes on. Seems to be playing centre back at the moment as that is where he is needed but came through the youth system as a right back - would be better from a longer term Irish point of view if he played right back as we're obviously stacked at centre back already.

Was there another young Irish lad at Sheff Wednesday that was a defender and got a couple of runs? I can't see him on their Wiki page anymore. I have an awful notion he had a similar name to this lad? Not Conor Grant.

Anyway, I was trying to distinguish between the pair. This lad is English born but with a name like CiarĂ¡n (there's a fada and all according to a few places) the connection must be strong. Appears as though his father has two Irish parents from reading this: https://www.extratime.com/articles/20849/ireland-under-18-defender-ciaran-brennan-signs-first-professional-deal-sheffield-wednesday/" rel="nofollow - https://www.extratime.com/articles/20849/ireland-under-18-defender-ciaran-brennan-signs-first-professional-deal-sheffield-wednesday/

Also, at Sheffield Wednesday under a good centre half in Darren Moore which is helpful.

Even the tranfermarkt page is confused: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ciaran-brennan/profil/spieler/550134" rel="nofollow - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ciaran-brennan/profil/spieler/550134

Sheffield Wednesday also have Alex Hunt, a young midfielder who has been on the fringe of Irish underage teams. He is on loan at Grimsby. Irish winger Olamide Shodipo plays for them, he is on loan from QPR. Last I heard of goalkeeper Kieren Westwood, he was looking for a new club and training with Crewe while weighing up options.

That fits Connor O'Grady, 23, who left Wednesday for Buxton in 2019 and now plays for Stalybridge Celtic. He is a defender who had very limited first team experience with Wednesday but despite the name I'm not sure of his Irish credentials.

Conor ( one 'n' ) O 'Grady, who played for Sligo Rovers among other teams, did but I'm not so sure about this boy, who is English.

Pretty sure this lad was born in England despite what the article says. The 42 might be thinking of a different Ciaran Brennan.

Anyhow, he's signed a new contract at Sheffield Wednesday.

Yes, they are thinking of this lad who has subsequently played for Kilkenny minor hurlers and I'm not sure if he has played much football: https://www.fai.ie/ireland/player/888843073" rel="nofollow - https://www.fai.ie/ireland/player/888843073
