Time to start a thread on this young lad.

Been smashing them in at underage and U23 in Birmingham, as well as underage for Ireland, including a few worldies.

He's doing the same now in the LOI (on loan).  Has the sense to go out and get game time instead of playing academy/U23 football.  Only 19 years old:

Forget about this fella. John Wick allegedly saw his brother play for Villa reserves a while back and can confirm that Ronan hasn't got what it takes despite his young age and recent goal scoring exploits.

Can he play up top on his own or does he need Pace?

Greed has won, big finance has won. Whatever small role elite clubs still play in the local communities from which they grew is dwarfed now by their position as global brands.

LOL.

There's high hopes for him.  He's been top of the class at every level he's stepped up to.  And seems to have a bit of cop-on and a good attitude too:

I'm looking forward to seeing his development over the next few years.

He has plenty of pace.  He played wide right last night.  He took his goals well.

Genuinely though, I'd look at the likes of this lad coming back to LOI as a positive. Instead of disappearing into the abyss of youth football in England, he's playing senior mens football at a competitive level and getting press attention.

Shocking move, both of them did reasonably well last year so it's a very strange move.

Irish league has had some players move and do well in England recently wouldnt rule them out just yet. Gavin Whyte doing well for Oxford and Mark Sykes signed for them also after good stints in the league.

Surely Dundalk or Cork should have taken a chance on Ronan? He’s far better than that sh*te Nordie league.
