Lads who have brought kids teams away, any recommendations on good places to go to?  Gary mentioned Amsterdam and Barcelona in other threads, but what actually happens re training / matches / outings etc?

How do you know what the standard is like aswell that you will be playing against?

Went over to Glasgow when we were U15s (Only 6 years ago) and we had a few training sessions at Lennoxtown with Celtic coaches and played Celtic u15s along with another side from Glasgow. 3 days filled with football and also went activities and the price was very reasonable if I remember correctly.

I was actually a player so I'm not sure although I'm fairly sure it was booked through somebody at Celtic. Someone may have known someone there I'm not sure, but it's worth a shot contacting them. Was an incredible experience.

Don't go to tournies in the UK as they operate 'school year' age groups so some of your players will be too old and you run the risk of being disqualified.

Book cheap flights to a destination.
Book hotel.
Google local clubs. Find a team with similar ability.
Play a few local teams.
Don't use a tour company DB Sports etc

speak to a local club, give them an idea of the strength of your team. They should be able to point you in the right direction

SV Nevelo,Eindhoven. We travelled independently over there last year for a tournament.
They run it every year. I think I have organisers email if you want it but next years tournament may be full by now. I'm sure they would accommodate you for a game at whatever dates suit you. Great facilities and our trip worked out very cheap

There was a team went over from Cobh and won it before. Now turned out those lads were quite good and ended up winning the national Cup about two years after. Defo worth looking into it I'd say
