Quote The most @FAIreland players to start a @premierleague game is seven: @stokecity v @SunderlandAFC
on 4th February 2012
The starting XI from both sides featured @wildog87, Glenn Whelan, Rory Delap, @JonWalters19, John O'Shea, @DavidMeyler7 & @JamesMcC_14

Paul Fennessey of the42.ie, who follows me on Twitter, published this earlier today: http://www.the42.ie/tracing-the-marginalisation-of-irish-players-in-the-premier-league-3541394-Aug2017/" rel="nofollow - http://www.the42.ie/tracing-the-marginalisation-of-irish-players-in-the-premier-league-3541394-Aug2017/
Which includes the following paragraph
Quote Ireland actually had its highest number of Premier League representatives as recently as the 2011-12 season (33), with Mick McCarthy’s Wolves providing no fewer than six of the individuals in question. That season also happened to feature a record for the number of Irish players starting a game — Stoke v Sunderland on 4 February 2012 featured seven players from these shores: Rory Delap, Glenn Whelan, Jon Walters and Marc Wilson for the hosts, as well as David Meyler, James McClean and John O’Shea for the visitors

Greed has won, big finance has won. Whatever small role elite clubs still play in the local communities from which they grew is dwarfed now by their position as global brands.

Greed has won, big finance has won. Whatever small role elite clubs still play in the local communities from which they grew is dwarfed now by their position as global brands.

yep, it's Iron Man in Japanese. It comes from when a Virtua Fighter champion from Japan appeared on GamesMaster on Channel 4 years ago
If you.re interested, it's on youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYaZzLuNk2w" rel="nofollow - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYaZzLuNk2w
In Virtua Fighter, a tetsujin is a player who's beaten 90, or more, other players in a tournament

I didn't know about the cartoon - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetsujin_28-go" rel="nofollow - Tetsujin 28 - until much later

Thanks. I'd say it's the form of Jonathan Bond that's keeping O'Malley out of the Peterborough starting XI. He had a short run in the side in November when Bond was dropped, but has been constantly on the bench since then
