Going on 5-6 years, and that's just via Rome. Hopefully heads roll over this. Bound to have been many more involved. UKIP will have a field day with this.

Gardaí identified a so-called travel agency based in a non-descript building in a backstreet in Rome and allegedly involved in channelling illegal immigrants into Dublin.
They suspect illegal immigrants have been taken from planes and escorted landside by airport employees without going through passport, customs or other security or immigration controls.
They were then put in cars and trucks that had security clearance and driven from the airport to a safe house in the capital.

I've seen more articles online about the Ryanair tweets than the actual alleged people smuggling ring! It's nearly like some media outlets are using faux outrage at Ryanair to just gloss over the slightly more pertinent issue of human trafficking...
In any event Michael O'Leary must be absolutely loving all the extra free publicity.

In any event Michael O'Leary must be absolutely loving all the extra free publicity. | He is. He has even stated he is going to give the lads involved a pay rise.
According to the http://www.irishexaminer.com/breakingnews/ireland/michael-oleary-wants-to-give-his-social-media-team-a-pay-rise-for-immigrant-tweet-773813.html" rel="nofollow - Irish Examiner , his response was, "I didn't think they were particularly funny last night when they went out, but I must say I am highly enthused by the reaction and response they have got. "If we can upset that many snowflakes through Twitter and on social media as well as entertain probably an equal number of somewhat less snowflakey people, I intend to give our social media team a well done note and probably a pay rise."

If Ryanair had have been the airline smuggling people there would be a severe reaction and outcry . The smuggling in the airport is massive and this probably is the worst or most serious but the contraband coming through Dublin is unreal .

That is true, I think somewhere else someone stated Dublin airport security is great because you are through in about 5-10 minutes.
Which is probably part of the reason for the above.

I hope the lads that go through are enjoying Ireland.

They are long gone.

A Chinese woman I knew came in through the Uk in a shipping container . Dunno the ins/outs of her journey but it was 10k pounds at the time . She worked every hour god sent her in a chipper out the back and saved €200 a week . She was her for nine years and in that time her family back home never told her that her brother had died and her husband that she had a child with had died (they were separated) . She came here to make money and her family never told her about the 2 deaths just in case she left and returned home with out money . When she returned to China all she could think of was coming back to Ireland . There are some stories out there of people that were smuggled into the country .

The airline CEO said he can be "absolutely certain" that such an alleged
illegal human trafficking scam could not operate at Ryanair.
I suppose with their Baggage Allowance it would be tough
