Topic: Ireland V Austria Tickets
Posted By: Glasheen
Subject: Ireland V Austria Tickets
Date Posted: 17 Jan 2017 at 8:48pm

I'm traveling with family from US and wanted to book flights around the   Ireland V Austria game. I was at World Cup in Saipan with my soccer team here and my kids are also big supporters. Any ideas on how to get 3 tickets. Any advice is appreciated.

Booke the flights anyway. Then follow the FAI on Facebook / Twitter for info on any presale. If you have friends/family here on the Three network they will be entitled to a presale code that you could use also. Theres a friendly a week before the Austria match and they will probbaly sell tickets as a duo package meaning you'd have to buy tickets for both games, but might be a good option should there be no general sale for Austria only.

Depends on how many duo packages they sell.

I would assume so but they could sell out within minutes if we beat or even draw with Wales.

You may end up with none.

Andy got a mail form the FAI and they said they would release singles in the coming weeks for ST holders .

a Season Ticket Cat B was €170 I think. You paid €172 for 24 games including book fee

I find these threads rather amusing.

Its like come September 100000 liars saying was at all my counties GAA games be it hurling or bog ball and can't get a ticket now. All they get
Had to do was buy a Season Ticket.
Would love to see every game sold out on STs to be honest.

for anyone who challenged the stealth increase in cat C yes they are going up

will be difficult to sell based on moldova and serbia if we qualify direct, plus the fact of no autumn 18 meaningful games doesnt help so the next competitive match being march 19 it will be interesting to see how they structure the ST

I'm gonna say .. there won't be a play off game so 2 qualifiers and the rest will be training games for Russia . Madness to increase the price for a lesser product . Take the hit on leaving the price the same and use the money from Russia to recoup . It took long enough to build up a decent amount of ST purchasers . It could end up shooting themselves in the foot . Look at the Welsh and they have 18-19k season ticket holders . Not sure how many the Scots have but I'd imagine they have more than us

Any idea what price they going up. With potentially only 2 hone qualifiers on it wouldn't want to big large increase

It was the stealth rise to cat C prices that was mentioned above. The re-categorised some seats to Cat B etc.

€125 to €160 was the stealth increase due to the recategorisation, not aware of others

I'm buying the duo package on ticket master Ireland and live in NI - it says before purchase these tickets will not be posted outside of 'ireland' - I take it they will deliver to NI? (Don't do this often)!!

If they won't, just put in Ireland, and your county. It'll work, I reckon.

Any idea when ST holders will be able to purchase extras for the Austria game? I assume it will be limited to 2 again like the Wales game?

I wonder is there any incentive in tying it in with the renewals. New season tickets go on sale 11 May.

If you buy a new season ticket before the Uruguay and Austria games, it's an extra to add those games on (for less than the full cost of the duo package), or if you buy a duo package for it, you can get the "renewal" discount for a season ticket.

If you renew your season ticket before the Uruguay and Austria games, you get access to extra pre-sale tickets (say you get two at the minute, you get four if you renew) in addition to the early renewal discount.

Maybe those aren't the best ideas but there have to be some decent incentives they could put on for those tickets that would either encourage season ticket sales or make it easier to keep tickets out of Austrian hands (as it is, Austrians can buy duo packages for under €100 for that game, and just not use the Uruguay ticket).

Anyone know if 3 customers in the north are entitled to the pre sale?

For the season ticket i'd reckon it'll be 2 per account and no general sale will seem likely.

Makes sense to have some sort of incentive to encourage season ticket sales anyway. In terms of Austrian demand hard to call how many they will bring.

Asked re Austria - was told pre-sale for "Uruguay and Austria will start 10/11th of April "- presume Austria will now start 18th of April should be an email to confirm by end of week.

Picked up 4 at lunchtime pretty close to my own season tickets for the family. Have to say the presale option for the big games is excellent.
