335? Do you get to pick the team for that price.

It really depends on how the fixtures work out.

If you had 16 home fixtures last year you've 17 this yera and vice versa
We have 16 so it's only a e40 saving, miss three games and you've lost money.
We've no early bird, no discount for renewals, no free jersey, no reserved seat, no bit of imagination with it at all, little reason for anyone to go and buy one now

That only follows over a 2 year cycle and I understand 2017 is the start of a new cycle. Hence any team as of now could have 17 or 16 home games. In 2018 if they stay up they will have the other number of home games.

Last year was meant to be the start of it wasn't it? And it didn't happen? Could be wrong
Bray have already said we have 16, had 17 last year

Granted the pitch is quality but I`ll be amazed if ye fit 1600 into Mcginn park. My best guess is your in for a season of similar attendances to when Limerick played out of Jackman park in 2015. "The Main Stand" Note the executive toilet to the right of the picture below.

What do you reckon the attendances will be out there? 25 minutes from Derry in a ground with limited seating.

I'd be surprised if it's not a sell out every week. Chatting to lad from buncrana the other night he reckons we will get a big following from Down there.

It works out at about €20 per game for a reserved seat. Don't dundalk charge 20 just to get into the main stand.

A season ticket for the stand in Oriel has been 200 for the last few years, or 250 for a reserved seat
12.50/14.70 per game based on 16 home games, cheaper if it's 17

Is it ripping off your fans or is it fans paying a bit extra if they have it to help out their club? Personally I'd rather pay the extra than read about my club have financial problems during the season.
And for those that don't share that view they can still get a season ticket for €210.
I'm not a rovers fan but do think clubs should have different price points to maximise income. My own club just charges a flat fee one size fits all for its adult (non discounted) season tickets

Over 2000 now. Yes, it is awful, especially when you consider your average attendance for the season is 2041. This is the problem with the LOI, teams limit themselves to such small targets and that is why the attendances are embarrassing.

Spot on. RTID will come on here and scutter on about how Shamrock draw fans from all over Dublin and at the same time glorify the fact they can do no better than quarter fill a modern stadium and haven't improved upon their average attendance. Even by a conservative estimate, based on the population of South Dublin, Shamrock are sitting in a catchment area of 250,000 people. The uncomfortable reality for people like RTID is Shamrock are failing miserable to capitilise on what is apparently the number one brand in Ireland. I`ve focused on Shamrock simply because that`s what the discussion was about but the same can be said about the likes of Cork and Derry. The average attendances of Sligo Rovers (1,850) and Dundalk (2,368) are far more impressive considering their catchment areas. Admittedly, both still have ample run for improvement.

Every team is failing miserably, although, as you correctly stated, Sligo and Dundalk are comparatively better, although if Dundalk can't get fans in now then they never will. Boasting about 2000 season tickets is absolutely pathetic for the 'bigger club' in the main population centre. This isn't some stupid point scoring exercise either, as no doubt he will try and derail it to, City's crowds are pathetic too.

Iv said this before, but theres about 300,000 people witihn a 30 minute radius of Turners Cross, if we average 3000, that means only 1% of the immediate population has decided to turn up at one of the countries best grounds to watch whats currently one of the top 2 teams. Thats embarrassing. Same goes for all Dublin teams, Derry and Limerick aswell. The only teams that can hold their heads high are Sligo and Dundalk, although its much easier to galvanize a town over a city.

That is very true!
There is many many football people in Dundalk, I know and drink/hang about/work with many of them, and no matter how good Dundalk are doing, they will only ever go to the big games. Try get them to Dundalk V Longford, Bray (no offence to either) they wouldn't even think twice about going.
We had 6/700 in Holland, and I can guarantee at least 200 of these are not Oriel regulars.
No matter whats done, unfortunately I cant see this changing!
