Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

Really like this one!

The last game between the two in 2011 was as good a friendly match as I have seen in years.

Well, at least it's not Oman.

What a coup. Top of the CONMEBOL qualifying table.

Great stuff.

+1, does indeed make a change to have a friendly against a team that's not Oman.

Now, I wonder will there also be a friendly either before the Wales match next March or else after the away game v Austria next month (seems to be quite a few others arranged e.g. the pub team v Croatia and England v Spain )? Think having 1 before the Wales game would be more useful.

Take it this will be on the season ticket? Great opposition to have. Just gutted that it appears we won't have a home game before Wales. 5 long months!

there defo wont be a home game anyway as its not included in the season tickets. if we have one, it will be away but it looks like a decision has been made to go into the Austria and Wales games, fresh without playing a friendly.

Only 1 away friendly plus 2 at neutral venues since MON became manager

Why don't we have a friendly game in November?
Before or after the Austria away game.

England have a friendly and a qualifier in November.

Fanx.

Would be great to have one. Seems a hell of a long time and just jump straight into a crucial game against Wales without any run outs before

Hopefully Barca don't make the CL final. Obviously I want to see Ireland win but not every day you get to see a player like Suarez in the flesh and it is only a friendly after all, I'd be cursing him if it was competitive
