The battle of YBIG between ended level last night. Wayside 0 - 0 Broadford Rovers.

Tight enough game, although Wayside in truth probably threatened more.

Goals are overrated Ginzo! I'm not that type of centre forward. I'm more about the art of flick ons and chasing fullbacks fruitlessly. Can't believe with that skillset that Trapatoni overlooked me

Major 1 Saturday

Broadford 2- 1 Killester

Hard work made of this win given that Killester were a man down from early on and then had another fella sent off in the second half. Good to get one over on them as they are a strong side and were promoted with us last year. We have plenty of room to improve but happy with the three points. I'll expect a tough game out in their place later in the season

They have a new manager and a few new players for Tuesday's game so I wouldn't hold my breath on a change of fortune and Mochta's should emerge victorious.

I just need to know for the expenses form.;)

What are peoples views on the St Mochta's rise to prominence the last couple of seasons? Signing a serious amount of players from LOI and top intermediate sides..

Was at their game against Glebe on Sunday. Glebe were the better team for much of the game.

Glebe had their left back sent off in very strange circumstances. He was fouled but by the time the ref had blown the whistle to give him a free he had fouled a Mochtas player in a following tackle. The ref gave him the free but also booked him and then he gave him a second yellow for complaining for being booked. Mochtas scored in the 94th minute then.

About 60 people there I'd say. First time going to a LSL game. Enjoyed it.

The few quid at the gate covers the ref fees etc. I've no problem paying the fiver as it is often good value. Put it like this is it really three times worse football than LOI that charge €15.

Exactly. Would have no problem paying a few quid. Can see why people give out though if you are out in the weather after paying an entrance fee , no matter how small it is , but small seeds and all that. Clubs need funding to progress

Absolutely. Tickets are like gold dust in the LSL. Get on to the online ticket portal now if you want to have any chance of getting to a game that weekend.

We are decimated with injuries at the moment. Can't buy a win.

Intermediate Cup this weekend. Glenville at home. They asked for the game to be moved for the gaelic and were rightly told to get the boat!

In relation to Mochta's. It's not illegal or against the rules to pay players. I'd say at least half the teams in the league have players getting paid. I don't think all the teams in the top league charge in tho. Granted I only went to watch one match last year but Firhouse Clover didn't charge in. (Maybe they can't because they play in Tallaght IT)

While most clubs charge a fiver, many accept 2/3 euro.

Great start for the mighty Firhouse Clover, Beat Tolka 6-2 last night and last game was 5-0 win over Glenville.

The Herald pay €12k per season in sponsorship to the LSL for the right to print fixtures.
The Junior Soccer Portal pay nothing.

Not sure if they are.
They just asked clubs not to use it and to buy the Herald.

Think they can stop them using the LSL logo.

All clubs incl the DDSL are told to go by the Herald and not any other source as info printed could be incorrect.

You think? Saw them play Francis two weeks ago and wasn't overly impressed considering how much Francis are struggling.

Watched Killester v Tolka Rovers game yesterday, Rovers deservedly winning 2-1 in the end. Quite the turn around since the new manager has come in.

Last time I played there in the season of The Great Escape, they still had the sea cans and the pitch was desperate. For such a big club, they've always had crap pitches even at schoolboy level where you had some of the best players in the country playing in The Lawns

Mad result, fair play to Portmarnock. Just looking at some of the names on their team sheet, a few players of good pedigree there. Actually fancied the Orchard to go and win it so who knows now. The winner of tomorrow's game between Crumlin and Bluebell will be big favourites.

A top Premier A side have just been accepted into the Leinster Senior League. I don't think its either Sheriff or Kilbarrack so I can only assume its Kevin's. Surely this is the death of the AUL

Word is it's Kevin's alright.....strange really, they've been taking a few hidings of late and have a very young side, rumour is they have major Sunday in lsl and I'm sure that level could be a struggle for the current bunch of players.in any other way the total domination of sheriff and to a lesser state kilbarrack has really made premier a a two team league....prem b and c are a shambles with teams dropping out only a few weeks after the league starts so hard times for the aul, they badly need a few of the fat cats that run it to move on or get there fingers out and save the league

Major would be the highest they will get in. Not exactly pulling up trees in aul so no guarantee of going up first time in major either

Sherriff are knocking 5 or 6 in each league game . Why wouldn't they go to the LSL ? Junior Cup titles , international caps ? Surely playing competitively would be more important than those things ..

Sheriff winning 5/6 nil has little to do with it really....Kevin's are playing competitive football but it's in a league they have no hope of currently winning which for a club like them and of there standing isn't good enough.plus they could see the aul as a dwindling force and need to move on.less I say about that dick Redmond the better....a complete w**ker.

How do they go about deciding it?
Ballymun went straight to 1B after a fairly poor year in the AUL.

Other news, Portmarnock and Crumlin drew 2-2 in the Intermediate semi.

O'Devaney, who pulled out of the AUL Premier A after a few games have just been accepted to the the LSL. They will be following Kevin's in crossing the divide next season

Well, when one of the main administrators spends most of his time dressed up as superman there's little hope in having a league this is well run..

True babbs......somebody told me during the week that there's been no relagation out of the prem A (the auls top league) for the last 3 seasons!!!!! How much of a joke is that....w**kers like Redmond more interested in trying to get his fat mush on the tele than trying to repair a league that's going pear shaped quick.

That was a shocking peno for the keeper to give away, absolutely needless.

AUL has been dwindling for a few years now but this is surely its lowest point.

We've been promoted after a difficult start, won 15 of our last 16 Clap

Still a chance we could win the league but we've 3 tough matches left and the Orchard can pip us if they win all of theirs. Still, job done for us.
