Leicester City: Free beer for Foxes fans against QPR

How often do club owners give their fans something for free?

Leicester City's owners will dip into their pockets and http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/the-beers-are-on-vichai-top-2464314.aspx" rel="nofollow - buy the first round of beers  during Sunday's final game of the season against QPR.

The Foxes secured their Premier League status last week and vice chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha said: "We want to say thank you to our fans for their incredible support this season.

"It's been key in the team securing another season in the top flight."

Supporters will be given a voucher to claim a beer - or a bottle of water - at the King Power Stadium.

QPR fans travelling to Leicester and hoping to drown their relegation sorrows on the cheap will be disappointed though, as the offer only extends to home fans.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29520299" rel="nofollow - The BBC Sport's Price of Football study found that the Foxes offered the cheapest day out in the Premier League this season, with a ticket, pie, programme and a cup of tea costing as little as £27.50.

Leicester's owners have been spoiling their fans recently, having http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/3-000-Foxes-fans-offered-free-breakfast-Leicester/story-26494434-detail/story.html" rel="nofollow - provided breakfast for the 3,000 supporters  who travelled to Sunderland last week.

Luis Felipe Gómez worked for Colombian airline Avianca Cargo as the regional manager of Europe-Asia.

A video showing a group of Colombians drinking alcohol they had sneaked inside a World Cup stadium inside binoculars went viral.

Mr Gómez was identified as one of the people in the video and subsequently dismissed for accepting a drink, despite the fact that - according to him - he barely knew the people who had smuggled it in.

W'eve all done it!!

Doubt many of us have used binoculars and lost our jobs though!

Bit over the top tbh. He wasn't breaking the law, just the Fifa rules, which are a bit one-sided as alcohol is allowed in vip areas, and some of their biggest sponsors are alcoholic beverages.

Nine football clubs have called for a change of law that can overturn a thirty three year old law so supporters can drink alcohol in their seats instead of in the stadium's concourse.

The clubs are Ipswich Donny Accrington Stanley Port Vale Forest Green Rovers Lincoln city Tranmere Northampton and Sunderland.

They also should do something abot alcohol being banned from coaches on route to football matches!

It's a totally archaic law : Mad you can sit in your seat in a stadium on a Saturday and be banned from drinking beer yet sit in the exact same seat the following day and have a beer.

Exactly, and the coach ban in the UK for football fans is bizarre as you are allowed to drink on trains going to football matches!

I remember years ago we flew into Dublin on route to seeing Sunderland play a friendly in Limerick.

The driver of the coach was happy to let us take booze on board and halfway to Limerick he suggested we stopped off at a pub for an hour and half and then came into the pub and said we could drink there for two hours!

When we arrived in Limerick we got dropped at the ground I asked yer man if he knew where a pub was where we were meeting our mates and he said sorry I don't know Limerick very well as I'm from Dublin myself.

Next think I knew a Garda arrived and we got an escort from him to the pub.

Now that's what I call service.

Beer

Brighton issued their fans with vouchers to exchange for soft or alcoholic drinks at the FA cup tie last night at the Hawthorns as a gesture for them making such a long trip on a midweek evening.

Originally they were also going to provide free pies but there wasn't enough of them!

I had a Hot Dog at the London Stadium at a WHU match recently. The sausage wasadvertised as being  from a local artisinal producer (I can actually believe it) and must have been nearly a foot long. It had excellent meat, was nicely cooked and v.tasty, and served in a fresh bread roll with caramelised onions.

It was also £9. That's nine quid, or 10 of your European yo-yo's. Shocked

Considering the venue, I feel I should have got a 50% taxpayer's discount. At least.
