I was amazed to see Celtic Park rocking at half time with the Tartan Army in full voice.
We really need to improve Lansdowne for that sort of thing. The choice of their music really got the crowd going. We really need Put Em Pressure on full blast straight after the anthems and at the half time. It's the only song that gets everyone going.

Thought the atmosphere was very strange last night, very nervous and edgy then boom wee Shaun curls that in and the place erupted and was absolutely rocking for 5 minutes after that until we all realised that it was back to sh*teing ourselves/hold on time. Would've loved to have been standing in the away end to see what the stadium looked like during and after the goal I was too busy getting thrown around. Look forward to the aviva now dunno how good that dodgy wee away section will be for creating noise but looking forward to trying to get it bouncing

What did the Irish lot think of CP?

I'm amazed Celtic park hosts games every week, the crowd controls were f**king shocking. 20mins after KO and still thousands outside. The police seemed clueless, Roads blocked with police vans for no reason, coppers on horses getting in the way etc

As for the atmosphere, the scots made some noise when on top, but it was tense all the way through, not an atmosphere I'd enjoy too often.

This, the queues at the turnstiles for Lisbon Lions lower were an absolute disgrace. Got to the turnstiles with 20 mins to spare and I ended up missing the first 5 minutes. Added to that 2 stewards I asked didn't know where the ticket office was and another sent me to the media mixed zone, amateur operation. But on topic, the atmosphere at half time was amazing!

Agreed, shocking stuff altogether, didn't think the home support was all that either, the goal and half time aside. majority of the time seemed to be booing mcgeady and our songs/chants

Underwhelmed by Celtic Park and the Scots support. Always wanted to go there but I wouldn't go back.

The celebrations for the goal and 10 mins after that looked great but other than average at best.
The booing of Amhran na Bhfiann was disgusting and it was a large minority who booed.

Glad to have a couple of sound Scotsmen beside and behind me who got behind their team and had the craic with us. God only knows what would have happened if we scored.

Thought the Scottish National Anthem was poor the bagpipes didn't sound too great where we were, sounds a lot better when Amy MacDonald is singing it.

Not bad at all. I've never heard any of the TA ever boo an anthem but GSTQ before (watch Tuesday night). Must of been the Gers fans cause Celtic sing it... Out of order though.

Was an absolute shambles last night. Nobody happy with it, f**k knows what the piper was playing but I had no clue where he was with it at all. Out of tune and gash. Disappointed with that last night...

Yeah it certainly quietened down after the initial 5-10 seconds.

I must say too there was 1 Irish fella in particular around me shouting bollox about Scotland not being a real country and pointing to his passport. A f**king clown of the highest order trying to insight things. When they scored he was making shapes at a few Scots. I was on my own but had a word about who he was representing when he wore the jersey he had on his back.

I didn't get why he was so upset that Scotland turned down independance Confused

I really enjoyed the atmosphere in CP..i was in the jock stein upper. The only people causing trouble were two irish brothers fighting over something that happened five years ago or something to that effect. Anyone else witness that sh*te?

Joke of a place. In Lisbon Lions as well and getting in and out was shocking. One big gate that everyone has to walk through and then people on top of each other going down the road cause burger vans and police vans are parked in everyone's way. Then all the bars apart from ones with Union Jacks all being made shut on the way back to town. Basically had 50k walking into the city centre. And no police to be seen anywhere on the way in.

atmosphere after the goal was amazing, underwhelmed by the anthem and was poor call not to stop pipes half way thru, CP was bollox, ticket checked four times going in, why?! layout and facilities sh*te too, Booing of our anthems and our songs was bad and unnecessary

Me and a mate where in with the home fans in the north stand, section 108.we where surrounded by scots....in fairness we didn't hear the anthem been bood from where we where and we belted it out to silence around us.we had no trouble getting in and out of the ground from our end so maybe it was just over security for away fans???i will say one thing though...the majority of the Scottish lads around us where sound, but there was a good pocket of them telling us to f**k off over to where our fans where, and it was getting a little hairy for awhile till a few of the Scottish lads stepped in and told the other Scotts to pipe down.when the goal went in they got right up into our faces rubbing it in,so much so that I had to push one of them away from me....one of the Scottish lads beside me told me the bloke in my face was a Celtic Stewart and he later come up to me to shake my hand...I told him to f**k off.... So I. Not buying into this Celtic Scottish fan and rangers Scottish fan sh*te.believe me,fom what we heard and the things they where saying in the section we where, they have very little love for the Irish.

Was in the North upper, no hassle at all bar one simpleton nearby but we ignored him.

Celtic park some dump, grand when you get in and lends itself to atmosphere but what a shambles for a big match organisation and what a sh1thole area around it. How can a stadium only 2 miles for a city centre be that bad?

Got there by taxi - Irish fans in typical fashion were just grabbing randomers stuck on the street looking for a taxi and ended up with about 11 Irish fans in 1 taxi, none of us actually knew each other LOL - That sort of stuff is quality.
But the return journey was an absolute joke. Probably the biggest downside of the entire trip for me.

The whole floor was moveing in the Jock stien upper when the Goal went in. We were outside the ground 30mins before k.o. skiped half the Que and only barely got in for the Anthems.

Really wish this game had been played at Hampden and a lot of these issues wouldn't exist. Celtic Park will never be Scotland's proper home.

Thought the atmosphere was great at times but very tense. Was to be expected though.General question for ye lads, what grounds do ye find super plus the areas around them.Going by my own experiences most grounds are in working class areas. Not that I've been to every ground going. As regards the stewarding most would be hired by sedexo or some other company.

Thought the scots made a good atmosphere,as said elsewhere the stewards were pretty useless,on at least 5 occasions they had to come over to us as they were convinced we were in the wrong seats, turns out they could not tell the difference between a W and a M!. we were beside a few Rangers fans who were sound. There was fighting just a few rows behind us in JS lower between scots fans , the crowd soon let them know what they thought of these idiots, other than that a good nite apart from the score obviously .

Wasn't in Glasgow but Gelsenkirchen is as working class German as you will get, excellent stadium and not a bother in the home end.

I was in the away end and didn't experience any of these issues about the ground. Ticket presented and outside cordon,  like they do at Lansdowne,  ticket through the turnstile and then at the entrance to the stand. All standard. Stewards were really polite,  enjoy the game and all that. Helpful when looking for the food counters etc.

Dissapointing to hear about the abuse lads getting in the home end. Would be reasonably confident it wouldn't happen in Dublin.

Their support wasn't up to much at all imo.
We chant Aiden McGeady, they all boo.
We sing the fields of Athenry, boos.
We sing just can't get enough, more boos.

Obviously the place was hopping after they scored but they're probably a lot like ourselves that way. Great away support but sh*te home supporters. Standard enough really.

I couldn't care less about our anthem or our players being booed or general hostility from the Scotch. That's what they should be. It's not rogbee.

Celtic Park is one of the few modern grounds in Europe (ie 75% of it built in the last 20 years) that can still produce a proper atmosphere. I don't go to a match to buy popcorn or hot dogs.

Organisation was a fooking joke at the Lisbon Lions end though, it has to be said, particularly on the way out.

Yes, we were fairly poor on Friday night.  Strange atmosphere.  Workday, different stadium, tense atmosphere.  Really think it would've been different if it was at Hampden but like yourselves you'll see a different Tartan Army in Dublin next year.

the bad organisation is probably down to the fact that 75% or more of the attendees are not used to Celtic park layout and the stewards were the SFAs not celtics. also for folks complaing about the sh*tehole surrounding Celtic park have a word with yourselves it wasnt an affulent area when Brother Walfird started the club and up until the recent commonwealth games the east end of glasgow has not seen much regeneration!
