Well that would be the same hurricane higgins who in an usually visceral fit of pique told Dennis Taylor he would have him shot by alex's ira chums. What made the incident even more bizarre was that as an accomplished inter county gaelic footballer for armagh in the 1970s, dennis undoubtedly would have known several genuine provos personally!

Yeah know all about Alex he used to punt in a bookies I would have frequented in Belfast . Surprised RB would put up a pic of him with Irish pride behind it

I thought the story was that he threatened to have him shot by the UVF?
When they found out, the UVF told Higgins to get fooked.

Sorry tyrone is correct - i must have confused his orange hair with an orange shirt :) but i am pretty sure it was the ira he was threatened with, as that was what made the story particularly bizarre...
