Beat the same opposition in last years final 1-0.

Hope Galaxy do it, There also at home.

partly correct but the Earthquakes were disbanded in 2005, the owners moved the team to texas, including all players and became the dynamo, earthquakes were reformed then in 2008. Bit like Art Modell moving the browns to baltimore.

LA's budget is $12 mio and change, Houston's is $3 mio and change. Beckham, Keane and Donovan are eating up more than the whole Houston team.

Robbie with a penalty to make it 3-1, Beckham taken off just before the end for a standing ovation, Galaxy champions once more.

Surprised Robbie didn't let Beckham take it but his record from the spot is poor enough and better to have a striker take it, score it and finish things off.

That actually rings a bell, not sure what it was about but remember hearing that.I think maybe with Beckham arriving, Donovan probably wouldnt be the main man there. i could be wrong on that as well ut its logical he might feel that way

Yes, they were pissed off with him about three years ago..... but serious effort over the last few seasons (and two mls cups) saw them happy and chanting his name whenever he was subbed off at the end.

watched about a half hour of it , galaxy have excellent fans, the commentators called keane the best player in the league , he doesnt seem to have much of a rapport with his fellow players though , lots of flicks and 1-2's going astray , that zardes looked ok but he couldnt buy a goal

Keane is leading the assists table with 8 and has 7 goals so statistically you could argue they are correct in saying he is the 'best' player in the league(only know this as the commentators said the mls now have a stat for 'good chances' or something like that and I wanted to see it for the craic but couldnt find it Ouch)

But yeah he usually plays best when Landon Donavon is playing with him as the rest just arent on his wave length and a lot of that is down to their own limited talents imo

I like watching the mls as you can see a lot of the players are all well trained in the technical side of the game, always looking to control and pass a lot rather than hoof it and despite the obvious misplaced pass's and often bad control that you see in the games some of the games can be a good auld watch for entertainment value alone

Poor enough game, but Finals often are.
Thought NE were mad to take off Nguyen - 20 goals this season and in great form, they missed him in ET. Jones has made a big difference for them since he came in, very hard-working side NE, they probably just lack that little spark of creativity that sides like LA & Seattle have.

Anyway, Congratulations Robbie another winner from Tallaght  Clap

Was flicking between the MLS & Cricket. A rather "unusual" celebration from Robbie for his goal. A few minutes beforehand Omar Gonzalez had hit a long range pin point pass to Ishizaki and after a brillant first touch he got caught in two minds between a shot and a square ball to Robbie for an easy tap in. Keane was absolutely livid, ate the head off him for the next five minutes and was so pumped when the chance for his goal fell to him LOL Great finish too.

Chicago were reasonably well organised but LA had so many chances was hard to believe it was 0-0 at ht. Shaun Maloney didn't see much of the ball. With Gerrard to come in aswell in July I can see only Salt Lake or Seattle stopping LA this season.

Jozy Altidore equalled his Sunderland record on his debut for Toronto LOL

In fairness him and Gionvico look deadly for a MLS partnership, could be the dark horses this season

The stadium is packed in Orlando, quality atmosphere. The fans have massive banners, drums etc. Unbelievable for a new team.

St Ledger is on the bench.

Stadium had a bit of an overhaul last year and so it looks a bit different to 1994.  The main difference being that there is fans behind the goal on the left.  At the world cup there was just a scoreboard and a wall behind that goal, which was the end Aldridge scored.

I hear the mysterious guy with the yellow cap is still living underneath the stands.

The majority of the crowd must be Spanish speakers. All the songs I can hear are in Spanish.

The man in the yellow hat really has no place in MLS soccer.
