Anyone know if FIFA still plan on implementing this or if it was blocked by EU labour laws. I think it would be highly benificial to both the league an the national side. ------------- Aithníonn ciaróg ciaróg eile. |

Youre thinking inside the box my friend. Imagine the difference in the scouting policy of English clubs if they were forced to recruit English players instead of scouting the globe for any player. Its hard to imagine but players like David Meyler, Conor Hourihan and Greg Cunningham to name but a few would spend much more time on this island learning what regardless of standard is a much more positive style of football. In 2009 Domenech described our international team as England B and in the Euros despite what people might believe this was true. We played a extremely similar style but in an inferior manner. If some of our more promising youth stayed in the league and learned a style that we could call our own then we could have a positive influence from the ground up. Imagine a LOI where the best talent in the country didnt leave when they were 16. Maybe then we wouldnt be the only country in the EUROS without a domestic player. ------------- Aithníonn ciaróg ciaróg eile. |
