Hi, I'm the author and that was just a screw up from Orpen Press in their web promo blurb, not me. It has already been changed at my request. Two page extract will be in the next issue of YBIG, I think on May 7th. Cheapest option of getting the book is here: http://www.bookdepository.com/Irish-Fans-Guide-Euro-2012-Damien-Moran/9781871305555?b=-3&t=-21#Reviews-21

You can get an extra ten percent off by using a code for the book depository - valid until 14th May, 2012. Enter APMA12 at checkout. You'll pick it up for €7.30. Free Delivery also.

Pozdrawiam. Updates here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/TheIrishFansGuideToEuro2012

Consider picking up/shoplifting a copy of The Irish Fan's Guide or just buy me two pints and a packet of roasted peanuts instead and I'll tell ya all about the 600+hours of work and 6,000 + bottles of beer that went into it. And then you can go out and get it:-)

It'll give you scientifically proven methods on how to attract gorgeous Polish locals and the best dancefloor tactics; covers info. on safety and securit......y with lots of practical tips and info on travel (driving & rail/bus/plane) and accom. inside Poland.

It also includes reviews of the top ten beers even pioneers should try and satirical takes on foods not to be missed; traditional Polish hangover cures; how to save money when you get here; detailed sections on the best things to do in Poznań and Gdańsk; key pub and football Polish terms as well as advice on words to watch out for (e.g. 'Oi you' sounds like 'You f**kmeat' in Polish) and reviews of the games with profiles of our (likely) squad and recaps on our qualifer games. Fixtures for all the games are included as well as team kits, captains, coaches and outright winner odds.

There are great pics. by John Barrington of nineteen 21 photography, a detailed appendix containing profiles of all 16 teams and their likely squads as well as a section on Irish-Polish relations and a 'what if we qualify' section.

And it has much, much more. All packed into a book the size of 3 match programmes but without the annoying ads. Sufficiently compact to roll up in your arse pocket or stuff down your pants, The Irish Fan's Guide to Euro 2012 is written by an Irish lad living and settled in Poland for the past six years. I hope you enjoy it. It'll be available in all major bookstores around Ireland from next week.
