No they didnt Wink

But for the ones that played in the 2nd round tonight they always stick the youngster's and reserves out - even the top championship teams do this and usually the lower league team they are playing have the first choice out which means shocks will happen

I'd imagine they pretty much want to go out as early as they can. Massive test for them in the Premiership, and the less fixture congestion their small squads have to cope with the better.

John Carew, an ex Champions League finalist with Valencia was among the side West Ham put out tonight against the mighty Aldershot Town. They duly went ahead in the opening stages of the game and looked to press ahead for a second and kill the game off. Then they get a man sent off and after leading 1-0 until the 78th minute proceed to get beaten 2-1 and ruin my 7 team acca which would have netted me 956.23 euro.

If anyone is looking for me, i am out hunting for the whole of the ICF firm.

On the subject of Liverpool. Why did Suarez play tonight? I assumed he was "rested" against Arsenal because of the copa america etc. But if he was then why did he play tonight? He was obviously dropped on Saturday against Arsenal unless Kenny is prioritising the league cup. Dalgleish is clown and the fans will stick by him which makes it funnier Big smile

Andy Carroll needs a serious kick up the hole. Moaning over the quality of crosses coming into the box tonight yet if he had attacked the f**king things and actually tried he would of connected with most of them.

Liverpool would of struggled big time if Suarez had not been playing tonight and he certainly didnt look "unfit" or "tired" to me.

Oriol Romeu getting sensational reviews from Chelsea fans and AVB after his performance last night.

AVB
"His ability to receive the ball is something out of this world, its extraordinary his comfort with the ball, receiving it straight from the goalkeeper under pressure. You saw that led eventually to a ball loss but that is the risk you take when you build from the back.

It shows that the school where he is from is fantastic and shows that he can play in the Premier League."

I never said I'd start Gerrard at the weekend.

Kuyt - Adam - Lucas - Downing

          Suarez - Bellamy

Thats how I'd set out on the weekend and try take the game to Wolves from the off. We could see how Bellamy and Suarez link up together, as I didn't see the game last night but I heard they did well together. We'd also have the option of Bellamy and Kuyt swapping over.

Wolves were 1-0 up and playin well and City just decided to go on a rampage before half-time scoring 3 goals in under 4 minutes. Johnson scored a lovely goal and then made a wonderful assist for Nasri. Dzeko got the other. Anelka put a peno wide for Chelsea and Liverpool conceded a minute before half time to a Kenwyne Jones goal. Will we ever win at the Brittania? Cry
Newcastle 1-0 down.

A few good matches in store this week, even though teams will not be at full strength.
Mancini raging about having to play tonight after playing on Sunday and said its the reason England never win anything, their fixture list is too crammed, says he'll play a new XI from Sunday
Expecting his team tonight to be something like

The Romanian

Zabaleta - Kolo - Savic - Bridge Angry

Johnson - Hargreaves - De Jong - Kolarov

Dzeko - Rekik/Suarez

Posted By: Carmody 10
Date Posted: 29 Nov 2011 at 8:19am
Thought Hargreaves was injured again Baggio ?

Liverpool go up against Chelsea at the Bridge and Dalglish said yesterday he will play as strong a team as possible, and rightly so. 48 hours or not, they arent in europe and need to get themselves to a final, carling cup or not to continue building under Dalglish. The experience is vital aswell. Bellamy has travelled but I'm not sure if he'll be in the right mind-set to play.

It's an absolute disgrace that both Liverpool and City have to travel down to London to play quarter-finals of the League Cup 48 hours after an intense match! Dalglish was right in saying that they shouldn't give out if clubs play their youth teams in this competition if they're gonna turn around and disrespect it themselves by f**king teams over with the fixture schedule. Thing is Liverpool have played strong teams throughout the competition as we try to get a trophy under our belt and not being in Europe allows us to do that.

Similar to what Baggio posted about Mancini complaining, Enrique said a situation like this would only ever happen in England. Don't know how to predict these games as ye never know how strong a team will be put out for each team. Might stay away from the betting.

I never fancy left footers at peno's, dunno what it is but most seem to miss whenever I see them.

Brilliant city goal, only effort on target though. No RVP no win for the arse. Wenger's last chance for a trophy disappears in his last season. AVB and Steve Kean under serious pressure now. If Valencia knock them out of the CL then it could be gate. Andy Carroll - two left feet.

Poor game at the Emirates, i'll take playing badly and winning and a much needed clean sheet all day long though. Defended well but didn't create a clear chance apart from the winner, that said Arsenal created very little either apart from a Park chance early on

Some of the great peno takers have been lefties - Brehme, Signori, Vieri hell even Dicks and Unsworth rarely missed

City are going to have to go full tilt for this cup, will soon be out of the champions league realistically and no chance in the league according to 'Becks', so just the domestic cups to fight for

Great result for the Pool last night. Didn't see the game but judging by the report we done quite well, although I think it is obvious we want to progress further in the competition than Chelsea do. Here's hoping we draw Cardiff. Man U vs Man City over two legs is what the neutrals would rather see as well I would think

I enjoy watching United in this competition, looking forward to seeing the likes of Morrison and Pogba in action tonight.

I'd like to see your definition of emptyConfused
There's a few thousand empty seats in the Alex Ferguson Stand but other than that the ground looks pretty full and considering they are playing Palace i'd say the United hierarchy are happy with the attendence.
