Best WC game for football and exitement thats really stands out for me (apart from the ireland games of course) was Romaia beating Argentina in the last 16 in 94. Was absolute quality football. I can remember Hagi (no.3 in my all time greats) just running the show and was like Maradona (number 1 in my all time greats) in his hey dey. Would love to see this game again, as had it on video but went to llok at it a while back and Jake the Snake against Hulk Hogan or something has been recored over it!
Saw the Ireland - Romania game recently on telly aswell and had really forgotten how attrocious iit was, pure borathon! -------------

| France v W. Germany 82 for me, France 3-1 up in extra time, bloody Germans never gave up, unbelievable game, so sad for the French I was. Agree Count regarding Ireland v Romania, musta seen the same re-run as you, it was shocking stuff bar the penos. Worst game agreed Ger. Great times under Jack but some God awful games. |
