Are U2 planning anything special during concert to acknowledge SRFC should have been in the Stadio Olimpico tonight and not them?

I know,  but it would be good gesture by U2 to remember the occassion and fellow Dubs' by playing a tune for them.
Free tickets to show? etc.

Shamrock Rovers F.C. is very grateful, and indeed honoured, to have received an invitation from U2 to attend their 360 Tour gig tonight in Turin.

Unfortunately though, travel plans and a very important league game on Sunday against arch Dublin rivals, Bohemians, meant that the Rovers squad had to travel back directly after their Europa League tie against Juventus in Italy last night.

The Dublin band made sure to get in touch with the city's biggest football club to see if they could hook up in Northern Italy but alas schedules did not allow for this. With two games against Juventus in the last week, Rovers have certainly made a big impression on Turin's finest and now hand over the baton for Bono and the boys to do likewise.

Speaking to some of the Rovers directors in the build up to last night's game, Alessandro Del Piero said that he was going to the concert to which Rovers joked that Bono will turn up on stage wearing a Hoops jersey. Del Piero smiled and maybe had that in the back of his mind as, after the game, he too got himself a Rovers jersey.
