In one word Gaz, its the sh*t!

Tiger bread or Dutch crunch is made with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sesame_oil - sesame oil and with a pattern baked into the top made by painting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rice - rice paste onto the surface prior to baking. The paste dries and cracks during the baking process, creating a two-colour effect similar to a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiger - tiger 's markings, hence the name. The rice paste crust also gives the bread a distinctive flavour. It has a crusty exterior, but is soft inside. Typically, tiger bread is made as a white bread http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bread - bloomer loaf or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bread_roll - bread roll , but the technique can be applied to any shape of bread.

no no insider knowledge is all, when they started selling it they were buying it from Gallaghers bakery irish company who are basically a small version of cusine de france but about 2 months ago they started buying it from a german crowd apparently they are selling about 2 containers a week (about 80000 units)

also cuisne de france bought gallaghers due to the loss of volumes from tiger bread to tesco, when tesco stopped buying it from gallaghers and switched to the german crowd cusine then more or less wound up the gallagher business

Had some yesterday for the first time. Don't usually eat white bread and this stuff is delicious. Especially with strawberry jam!
