At least the whole embarrassing process will be over and we can all move on and look forward to the qualifiers in September.

Still think he's past it and has a questionable history but fook it, it's dragged on too long at this stage, Houllier doesn't want it and Venables is the best of a bad lot I guess.

Once he doesn't do something fooking stupid like sing on the Late Late show mind you!

as long as we are singing we're going to afreeeeeca after we have qualified then he's welcome to sing anything else he likes!

By now I think we all want this sorry mess over and get someone in who knows what he is doing. El Tel would not be my choice but I have always said that I would support any managerial appointment and give the guy a chance. But we have been through so many highs and lows with this thing that Mary McAleese could be appointed next week and I'll just be thankful and move on.

Err......only joking about Mary, lads, that would be a terrible appointmentLOL

Agree there Donal, Mary was in cyprus for the away 5-2 defeat as a guest of cyprus tourist board

Remember Stan was banned from the touchline after stuttgart tantrum

All i could see in the stand was a big mullet head, not sure if it was stan or mary..............and i could not tell the difference with their knowledge of football management either

Mary as a guest must have asked stan could she gift the cypriots 3 points for their hospitality.............thats my only explanation for what followed that night

Bring back Paddy Kenny!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not

If it is El Tel then maybe we could welcome him in the manner he was greeted by Barca fans when he was given the head honcho position there. He came out on to the field and spoke a few words of Spanish and the crowd went mad. Fast forward to Croke Park in the future. He comes out on to the field, tells us all, Pog Mo Mhon, and as he is walking off tells Delaney that Martin Keown taught him that. "It means a millon thanks!" said a smiling El Tel as he pondered on the fastest flight from here to sunny Spain.

Wonder if colgate will sponser him when he becomes boss?
Aer Lingus will probably give him his own plane - St. Terrance.

My source close to the current international defender says no change from last week which is that the players expect El Tel to be appointed soon with the majority happy at the prospect!

Just a thought. If El Tel gets the nod then will we be arranging friendlies in the Bahamas, Trinidad, Costa del Sol, sunny Spain, Florida...etc. All I can say, lads, is when you pack the beer make sure to stick a tube of suntan oil in as well.

Lads, i know this is another rumour but i was told from a source that dalglish had talks on tuesday (being flown around by helicoptor to various locations) and told the pilot he has the job and it will be announced on monday.

His price last night with pp was 100/30 ...........it is now 5/1

Someone in the fai, media, bookies, is making a serious killing on this market laying all these fly by night rumoured managers to be on the exchanges

I will be at the awards do on sunday and i hope its been annouced by then, cos this sh*te is boring me now.

Funny to see on the paddy power forum, razors views on the job given months back, before he became a member of the panel

My milkman's brothers wife's workmate is married to a friend of a bloke who knows someone in the FAI and he said that he's fed up of all these fooking rumours going around.

I can't wait for next week and the game, just so we can have something else to talk about. If there's no announcement over the weekend, can we do next week without mentioning the managers job? PLEASE!!

FFS, give the job to the milkmans brother's wife and put an end to all this speculation.

The milkmans brothers wife will do me rather than el tel. Wink
