Wolves fined £25,000 for fielding a "weaker" team against Man United earlier in the season!!!

What a disgrace! Who are The F.A to say what is a weakened side and what is not?

United fielded a weakened side against Hull City last year, Gibson scored a screamer and United won 1-0, yet they were not fined?

What if Wolves had drawn or even won at Old Trafford?

Once again teh F.A prove that there is one rule for the top teams and another for the weaker teams!!!

Absolute Joke!!!!Angry

I didn't agree with McCarthy over that but a fine is indeed a joke.  They'll appeal and get it halved.

Hmmm what about the time when Wolves went to Chelsea and played 3-5-2? Hmm yes I see, there were no bloody paper talk or inquiries. Kevin Doyle even admitted that the job was to 'keep it tight and frustrate them'.

Anyways, a shocking decision by the FA.

It wasnt too long ago that fergie was accusing teams of trying too hard against them. And if you dont try at all you get a fine.  I know its not about united but thought it was an interesting point.  Absolute joke to get fined. Dont agree with McCarthy for doing it but he has responsibilty to his team only not on making the league fair, by fielding a stronger team against chelsea. Its his call.

Disgrace. Again the FA only punish the smaller teams. There was never any protest when the big boys fielded lesser teams in the league or cups and subsequently dropped points or lost. In this logic that was also unfair on the other lower ranked teams who had to play a full strength big team...
Interesting to see if they're going to use this as a precedent and punish the bigger teams in future....I highly doubt it!

What a stupid and laughable decision by the premier league committee and will most certainly leave them open to further recriminations and precedent, whenever it happens again, because it will.
Suspending the fine and the amount, means that the slap on the wrist is little more than a feather blowing over Molineaux.
