on a serious note, if its looking really steep, the FAI site has a link to the travel club, flights and ticket around €300 and something, not sure how much cheaper it is going to be now otherwise...

depends on how much time you've got. Hard enough to find something now. I just went direct in the end. Flying Aer Lingus 8:50 on the wednesday morning and coming back on the Friday afternoon. Flight were 270, bit of a hit. Can go to the saturday and get them for about 200 if you fly back late on the Saturday. Was going to do that myself but mate said feck it we'd spend more staying the extra day on hotel and gargle so we just took the extra hit on the flights

You could try the trip my friend is doing and meeting me in Liverpool:

Fly with Ryanair from Dublin to Liverpool on the Tue night, returning thursday night for about 60e:

21:20 DUB– LPL 22:05   20:05 LPL– DUB 20:55

Then Fly Easyjet to Paris for £96.00 on the Wed morning back on Thursday.

07:45 DUB– LPL 08:35  15:05 LPL– DUB 15:55

You would have to get an airport hotel/Guest house on the Tue night in Liverpool unless you know anyone there.

Total should be well below 200e.

€199 car + 4 people , one way .
Berths start at €105 based on 4 sharing .
Room 15 mins walk from the ground , starts at €77 per person sharing .

Now how much will it cost you coming back and oh I forgot the €199 boat is only on certain sailings .

Another cheap and reasonably comfortable way to go to Paris, is lie down on one of Aido's Flags (there are now several dozen, including the new Dallas JR Special) you will then be gently rolled and folded and placed into his Tardis Bag......apparently there is loads of room in there....it has a bar, snooker room (two full size tables)  and a VIP Room where Aido's ladies are very attentive.

was researching there with few mates (were students) to get cheapest possible transport. think its costing us all about 50 quid each. Were flying belfast to stanstead/derry to luton from ryan air which are dirt cheap and renting a car driving to dover and getting the ferry return (there doing a deal for 25 each way for car and up to 9 passengers) and drive to paris. living it rough though as were not getting accomodation altogether for all of us ends up 200 quid
