Draw would set us up to be able to overtake Italy and keep Bulgaria at bay as well. | draw man, Bulgaria would be out of the running really and we would just need to win our 2 home games to win the group. Bulgaria know they need to win, Italy know they need to win to keep the advantage on us so hopefully a draw :D |

this is a strange one as remember under kerr, where everyone was drawing with everyone, including the swiss and france, and we were in a great position to take top spot, with a win against france at home.... :( then struck henry.... under pressure to beat the swiss and couldnt score.... |

if bulgaria win we need 4 points from our last 2 games to have a chance!
thats not the situation we want to be in!
if italy win-were in the playoffs..
it its a draw we play italy in a winner takes all game..
so of course this game on wednesday night decides the group in a way..
but an ole 0-0 would be perfect!

Only if we don't beat Mont. A draw is the best result cause then we play Italy in a match where the winner will win the group (providing we beat Mont too). but also if it is a draw then we can afford to lose to Italy and just beat Mont and we are in a play off.
Basically to win the group it doesn't matter if Italy draw or lose, we can still catch them once we beat them.
But with Bulgaria we are 5 points clear having played a game more. So if we are on 5 points our maxiumum we can get is 11. Bulgaria can still get 9.
If Bulgaria win then we can still win the group by winning our two games but they win and we even draw with Italy then Bulgaria can catch us on goal difference by winning their remaining games. So draw all around.

Yep. Italy lose 2 games and win one then they are on 20. Bulgaria win their remaining 3 they are also on 20 but would be ahead of Italy in head to head rankings and we would be top on 23. If Bulgaria win and we win Italy then we will only need to draw against Montenegro to win the group. But would still rather have the security of not having to beat Italy to at least get a play off prodiving we beat Montenegro if we don't beat Italy

so if italy win on wedneday nite or hopes of the winning the group are practialy over..
and it would make the last 2 games meaning nothing really..
we would end up drawing with italy and beating monte..
hope that dnt happen though..but looks likely

yeah basically if Italian's win then they can afford to lose to us but beat Cyprus at home. Although Cyprus have given a good account of theirselves in the away games against us and Bulgaria

Oh, Jaysus, I cannot decide. The draw would suit us perfectly but a Bulgaria win and then an Ireland win against Italy would really put us in the driving chair (whatever that is!!). I just can't handle it! No! My heads gone. Jayus! This early in the morning? Aw, f**k it I'll go for the draw. Maybe. No the win....no the draw. No the win for Italy. What? Italy to win? A draw? Bulgaria to win? Oh, hell lets just win our last two games and be done with it.

Italy to win would be the worst result though. If Bulgaria manage a win we are defo under pressure but we still know two wins would put us through and also Bulgaria still need to go to Cyprus who will have players back from suspension. We only just beat them, Italy only just beat them in Cyprus too and they did give a good account of themselves in their away defeats away to us and bulgaria. The first goal is absolutely nailed on intentional. It's a better header than Diaby's last week, and i'm a fkn Arsenal fan...!!! HOW can it be given to Palombo..look at it guys. He headed it iin from 12 yards....!!!
