Just reading a piece about the 'Price of Football' survey. It seems 10 EPL clubs would have made a profit if not a single supporter had turned up, despite blowing millions on mediocre players.

I was also surprised that Newcastle had one of the highest wages-to-turnover percentages of the 92 clubs...

Seen that crazy Leicester alone made 76m.

In terms of Newcastle 12 players left permanently while  14 left on loan when relegated 11 came in permanently while 1 on loan.

Of those who left, Colocinni*, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Cisse would have been very high earners.

*I remember last relegation when he stayed when we played Plymouth he was on more money then then entire Plymouth starting XI put together

They make over £3M a home game.

I would imagine Spurs will be close behind them.

It’s the tourist fans they make the real money from. Americans/Chinese etc over for the weekend paying 200+ for tickets and spending the same in the shop.

What is it though? Most of the stuff you get at football grounds is piss. I remember having a decent pint at Brighton, Harvey's Best I think, and Palace's Eagle Ale was drinkable. Most of the time it is cooking lager or Greene King IPA.

For that you get a crappy modern stadium with no atmosphere.

Wtf

How can both Glasgow clubs get away with that?
Surely they won’t fill the stadiums.

I paid about £50 a ticket for Spurs in they champions league if you bought all 3.

That’s reasonable.
