Vojt - The L bus only goes to the railway station which is quite far away about 2 km from the Old square - where all the fans are -

you are better off to take the bus to Kaponera - and take a tram - to the old square you can get on the tram outside sheraton 6 or 13 to Kupic poznanski - then you are right at the edge of the old square - follow the green jerseys.

I know that but this is the best way to get out of the airport towards the city center .. .and then the railway station is actulaly a walking distance from the hot spot, if somebody insists on walking ... and the fans should stroll along the city center simply to see it as much as possible! :-)

Ok Vojt, but you know the city - for lots of Irish because they have told me this, the routes to the city are not obvious -
2km with a bag is not fun!! on the tram you can see everything too.

If you go to the station walk along the street running to the station - the station is at the end of it, when you come to a junction turn right for the city centre - you will see a large sand stone building on your right, a square and park with two big historic crosses - The dubliner pub is near that castle and the crosses.

you can walk to the city but if you have a bag its about 2km

Bus to the outskirts and tram to the centre - now you see why people take taxi's when you hit a foreign city you need time to make mistakes and wander around, thats why taxi's get the business.

Landing in Kaponera or the trainstation - how would you know which way is the centre????

Landmarks are the best way to direct people -

Sheraton - Two large historic crosses,

ask young people who are most likely to speak english or write where you are going down and let hand signals or drawings do the work.
