Spoke to a couple of Polish lads this morning and they said they were shocking on Friday night , so bad the fans were singing " What the f**k are  you doing Poland "

Can they be as bad as Latvia i don't think so .

Lewandowski is on home ground. Lech poznan is the club he cut his teeth in. He knows the ground like the back of his hand.

Ireland need to be careful. Poland need this win.

I have a few people reporting into me from the Wroclaw office and as said above Poland need this result. They expect a big performance tomorrow night from Poland so will go for 1-1

@McDonnellDan: Robbie Keane won't start in Poznan tomorrow night - even though he's been rolled out for the press conference

Achilles injury apparently.

As he stated in lead up to Latvia game, he will take the off season as an opportunity to fix a few niggles.

Doyle and Walters up front then possibly. Some of the papers were suggesting this morning that Walters would start.
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

4-4-2?

Reckon he'll go with 4-4-1-1 again although that may go out the window with Reid's withdrawal. But perhaps Wes may get another pop.

There'll be a lot of changes from the team that started Friday, I'd say they'll be trying to get as many players a run over these two games.

I'd say it'll be 4-4-2, cause Wes won't start, Reid is not around, now he could deploy McGeady in there but I doubt it.

I'd suspect it'll be Long with Stokes.

I think you might be overestimating Poland there tiger.

It's a friendly. Form generally goes out the window given the changes in players and furthermore changes in management for both sides. I wouldnt read too much into that Slovakia result at all. If anything, it'll be a wake up call for them.

Two from Long/Hoolahan/Stokes/Walters I reckon
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

They are f**king shocking, most Polish fans I know would love to have a few harsh words with some of the players.
There is another a song they sometimes sing, along the lines of, "if we meet you in the nightclub, you will know what to expect".Ouch

Hopefully they will be singing it tonight.

Keane not starting is great. Nobody guaranteed a start under this regime and rightly so
