Who was the last player to play for us who was based outside of Scotland or England or Ireland...was it David Connolly when he was playing in Holland (did he even get a call up then?)

Pisses me off that none of our players play anywhere other than England, and Scotland.  The Premiership has 6-7 good teams and a lot of terrible teams and it's over-hyped..but it pays the most.

Yes Connolly did get a call when he was playing in the Netherlands (and scoring a brace against Ajax)

oh yeah Harte forgot about him did he play though? still though Aldridge with Real Sociedad and Brady in Italy; two players in thirty years making a name for themselves is brutal...is there any other International team like us?

Stapleton with Le Havre/Ajax for a while.  Alan Campbell and Liam Buckley at Santander and Waregem (Belgium) in the 80s.  Fran O'Brien (Giles era), played in the American Soccer League.  Mickey Walsh lads of FC Porto.  Noel Campell (Giles era) Fortuna Cologne.  Noel Campbell once came on as sub out in Sofia (we were fckn robbed by a ref losing 2-1, we always got robbed in those days) and Campbell then got sent off minutes later when he got into a fight with a Bulgarian player.

I liked Michael Robinson, he was a bit clumsy at times but he always gave his best for his and scored a few terrific goals for us.  I remember a cracking volley in Rotterdam (2-2), a screamer against Cyprus (6-0) and our 3rd goal in the memorable 3-2 win against France in the WCQ in 1981.  There were hundreds worse than Robbo I can assure yiz.

On the subject of worse than Robbo to pull on the green jersey I nominate Mickey Evans of Plymouth.
