Following on from the universally popular 'Universally disliked Players' (popular) and 'Universally liked Players' (less popular).  I think a thread about Players that like University is long overdue.

Ayman Ben Mohamed  (Trinity College Dublin University)
Ayman Ben Mohamed UCD AFC (right)

IN 2014 Ben Mohamed was studying at Trinity College Dublin, whose College Park venue is the most central venue in Dublin and very, very old. He was playing for SSE Airtricity League club UCD AFC, after recovering from a career threatening injury inflicted he had returned to the team in later 2014.  But he also played for Trinity College and UCD did not like that.  Ben Mohamed moved to Longford Town for the 2015 season but he still attended his beloved Trinity College. Continuing to play for their Universities League side. University 1:0 FC.
Ben Mohamed since moved to FC Bohemian FC and is now with Esperance of Tunis, Tunisia.  He again has suffered a long-term injury which gives him more time for study.

David McMillan
David McMillan loves his University so much he immigrated so he could closer to the books.  David studied at University College Dublin in Ireland and played for the Leinster Senior League side, Universities side and their Airtricity League side.  He then took advantage of an Erasmus* exchange scheme and immigrated to the University of Brisbane, Australia where he continued his chosen field of Architecture and football playing for Olympic Brisbane.  McMillan returned to Dublin and enrolled in an Masters Degree at UCD where he scored lots of goals and exam points at Belfield. In 2017 David plays for St Johnstone, Perth (Scotland not Australia).

Tony McDonnell
Tony Mc spent 13 years playing for University College Dublin AFC so that he could surround himself in an academic environment.  After finally getting the hint that he was an old man at 31 he retired from playing Football but didn't move far.  Using both football and academic accomplishments he got a job with RTÉ in Montrose across the road.  It's the next-door-neighbour house from Belfield House.

Good thread.

Have to say UCD Fan has the most random posts and threads

That's not mean't as a criticism BTW

I think Mignolet has a psychology or philosophy degree.
Open to correction on this.

Wasn't Kevin Moran an accountant after football?
