Danny McNamara very impressive for Milwall so far, shame their fans are such scumbags

Joe McGlynn on the bench for Burnley. He has red hair. Surprised he hasn't been mentioned yet.

As posted in Connolly thread, Caolan Boyd Munce has scored for Boro having signed recently for them from Birmingham. 21 year old from West Belfast with no senior caps for NI but has played a lot for their 21s.

Whats the story with this lad, says he is born in Dublin but has been playing for England in the youth teams?

Born in Dublin but left as a toddler. Spent most of his life in England so no real affinity to Ireland I guess. Don’t think either of parents were Irish either.

Both his parents are Latvian, although he was born in Dublin he left before he even started school, so he won't remember his short time in Ireland at all.

While he is obviously eligible for us I wouldn't hold it against him that he feels more English (or Latvian) than Irish. He probably doesn't consider himself Irish at all.

How is he eligible? Being born here doesn’t entitle you to a passport if neither parent is Irish

He was born here in 2002 so he is entitled.

Cirkin is eligible yeah, he said on his Instagram before he'd be happy to play for England, Ireland or Latvia. If I recall the question he was asked was would you ever play for Latvia and he was the one that brought up Ireland.

That was while he was still at Spurs and involved with England so doesn't seem overly attached to them anyway.

Suggested by the Irish Player Tracker page that Sonny Perkins, who came on as a sub for West Ham today, may be Irish qualified. Apparently his English born father Declan played at underage level for us.

He's currently in the English underage setup though, so probably not someone we'd see lining out for any of our underage teams anytime soon.

I was watching Bundesliga highlights and stumbled across this player. Surely eligible for Ireland with a name like that...

I used to think Fernando Cavenaghi was of Irish descent. Decent striker in France back in the day.
