Lewis O'brien? 21 year old midfielder for Huddersfield Town with insane tackling stats. Anyone know if he has an Irish granny?

Knight is from Dublin. Coventry's mother from Ringsend. He's fairly safe. Connell equally wouldn't be worried about. Find it hard to believe you join Celtic if he has ideas of defecting from Ireland.

Don't see much need for that, they're here now so no reason to doubt them. In any case, I don't think Kenny will focus too much on player recruitment, if someone announces their intention I'm sure he'll take notice, but I'd say he'd be more likely to give a chance to a young LOI player for example, than chase eligible players.

Will Smallbone ( Irish mother ) is one who might be susceptible to the sort of blandishments that turned the heads of young 'Up The Ra ' Rice and Grealish. Of the Celtic lads, Oxoflex and Afolabi are potential switches elsewhere as well as Connell but having Duff in the national set-up should be an advantage there. I'm sure Kenny will be on top of all this and know who to cap at the right time, as with Michael Obafemi who is now indisputably our player.

Smallbone is a good shout, he looks to have bags of potential and plays in the number 10 role.
Would be good to see him stay on board
no chance of Afolabi switching and Oxoflex struggles for game time with Celtic reserves
Yeah, wasn't there an interview with him or his dad last year? I remember his dad asked if he was gonna play for Ireland or Nigeria and he straight up said he felt Irish and didn't feel Nigerian at all,so seems he's ours and it's a non starter for Nigeria.Afolabi btw not Oko-flex .

He should look at Sean Morrison also.
Don't think it's been brought up before.

There are quite a few at underage levels who have potential though those will actually make it are usually few. The rules allow players to switch about underage and Okoflex has been doing this. He has said that he's Irish but has been impressed with the English facilities and financial lures.Afolabi was I thought slightly ambivalent as there was some parental pressure on him to represent Nigeria. Both are talented lads who came from Premiership teams and may well end up back in that league in the coming years.Smallbone is perhaps close to establishing himself at the top level and might be worth capping early as with Obafemi, to tie him down before some greedy agent gets in his ear. I believe Kenny will be the perfect manager to judge these things-if he'd be in charge earlier, he would have seen what Grealish and Rice were capable of and those defections would not have happened.
