he was a father at 18, so seeing as he is 32 he kid must be 14ish.

"Ireland was a father at 18 years old and split with the mother, who went back to Ireland, when their second baby was eight months old."

So it seems the mother is also Irish.

So the kid was born in England but brought up in Ireland most likely?

Or is he a granny ruler?

You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

Considering he has family from Italy and England, she could be his cousin and not Irish.

Jack Bonham is in line for a call up according to reports, which also stress that he "is still eligible for England".

Funny that the FAI never went after Peacock-Farrell but are going after Bonham.

Bonham would be a good move.  Other Championship reserve keeper who is eligible is Max O'Leary at Bristol City.

I'd like to see us make a play for Co. Down GAA player, Conor Hazard of Celtic, formerly of Cliftonville, instead.  Only 20 and still eligible.

Don't understand why we are not proactive with players born in the six counties - we know Michael O'Neill has no problem aggressively chasing players who've been in our squads.

To be fair, I don't think they're actually "going after him"; the England line is probably just an attempt to add some sensationalism to the story. As poor as he was when he was younger, he's playing regularly in L1 at the moment so is probably worth a look.
We're decent enough..
