Phil's mother Philomena has died RIP.

He was given up for adoption in 1968 and only traced his birth parents after his adoptive parents died when he was 35.

Amazing that they havent turned My Boy into a movie yet. There has been talk down the years and at one point Omero Mumba was touted as playing a young phil and i THINK lenny kravitz was even rumoured at the time. Omero

That's not the story I have Drummer.  I met Philomena myself and she was very nice  With Bob on this. Knew her quite well and would chat with her weekly. She denied him when i asked. Think it was front page of one of the rags at the time.

Bit random, but this popped in to my head recently.  I once read somewhere, think it was copied from a magazine article interview with Phil, that he had originally thought of making the last line of Roisin Dubh "and nobody shoots like Liam Brady" or something to that effect.  That was maybe 10 years ago though and whatever site it was on is long gone.  Anyone else remember reading/hearing this?  Liam Brady was on some radio programme not too far back and said Phil played at his school with Skid Row, but didn't get too much in to it and definitely didn't mention that story.
