Good night of darts last night, first night I've really enjoyed this year, Aspinall was lucky to get away, the other lad had him under proper pressure. Then Michael Smith was taken to town by a complete amateur, lad who'd qualified through a few qualifying tournaments. The played very well, real calm persona about him. Smith got frustrated far too early. Some contrast between Apinall being 0-2 down and getting focused for a comeback, Smith was 0-2 down and gave up

Smith is petulant at the best of times, but you're right, he simply threw his toys out of the pram last night and gave up.

Asp was extremely lucky. Waites was probably the better player over all. That 125 on the bull was the shot of the tournament so far. Shame Waites waited so long to join the PDC, he could have been a top ten player

IS he going downhill now? Or do ya say "could have been" because it's got more competitive now?

Why’d he wait so long?

The standard right now is outrageous. I also don't know if he's as good as he was 5 years. He still could break the top 32 and make decent coin but I think he left it too late to be a top end challenger. I mean he won the PDC Grand Slam in 2010 when he was in the BDO. He clearly was at the right standard.

I think the reason he didn't move is because he enjoys is job outside darts

Some final leg between the pole and the German. Was like a game between me and the lads down the pub.

That's one thing they shud defo keep after Covid. Each player with his own table. I could never understand having a huge stage and a tiny little table for both players. So stupid. Cause these guys will complain over any little thing.

You will need to buy the tickets soon for next year.
They are expensive so not that difficult if you book early.

Chisnall phenomenal. Over 107 as a 3 dart average, and his checkouts on form too. But 5-0 is some result!
