Im a United fan but if an Irish team did come up against them in a comp id be rooting for the irish team.
Therefore you are not a Man United Fan my friend. I hope Pats do well because I think they are a good club but to support them against a team I have suppported all my life just because they are Irish would be hypocritical. I remember they played UCD in 1984/5 in the first round of the old European Cup Winners Cup and were lucky to get through 1-0 on aggregate but then went on to win the thing with Sheedy scoring a wonderful goal in he final.

That's fair enoughClap..would be great if they (pats) got through and got a big gun. Irish teams tend to do better against the bigger teams in Europe than the smaller teams for some reason. Remember Pats ran Celtic very close a few years back. Then Shels with Deportivo and as mentioned UCD and Everton back in 1984/5

Well said McGoldrick
I find Count and Justice's arguments extremely sad

Count you say you have no affiliation to Pat's
What affiliation have you with Everton? I know you bought an Everton sweat band once, is that it?

If Liverpool played any Irish team it's a simple answer, English v Irish. I'll go for irish thank you

As a matter of interest, hypothetically, If Ireland played Everton in a world cup final, who would you two be up for?
